He smirked, but them decided to wipe it away. It was best not to
irritate another cat when you were on their territory. Honestly,
the foreign cat was surprised by Emberstar's coldness. For the
pretty, cheerful green forest these cats lived in, the cats sure
were hostile to intruders. "Sorry to intrude, ma'am," he mewed
with the dip of his firey head. "My name is Darestar. I'm the
leader of SpeedClan. We're looking for allies, and... Yeah."

"SpeedClan?" Mokey asked himself, wracking his brain for any
memory of the Clan being mentioned. He would need to memorize
some things in order to become a great warrior. Lifting his
nose, he sniffed the air around him, and found the familiar
scent of gasoline and cars. Did his cats live in the twolegged
place?

"Yeah. SpeedClan," the tom confirmed. "We live among the
highways and roads near the twolegplace." He looked back to
Emberstar to hear what she had to say.

Emberstar relaxed her tense muscles. "Allies?" she repeated,
running the thought through her head. "Perhaps," she replied, as
she was still taking a few moments to think this offer through.
It sounded like a good idea. LeafClan was probably going to need
a lot of help if they were attacked, and she assumed a Clan that
made its home next to the dangerous twoleg roads was pretty
strong. She didn't want to accept right away though, she needed
to know a little more about this 'SpeedClan.' "Are you allied
with any other Clans?" Emberstar inquired curiously.

Snowmuncher was peacefully sleeping in the sun that leaked
through the leaves of the trees and onto the ground. These were
one of her favorite napping spots.
Yinpaw munched on a small mouse, her recently groomed fur
glistened in the sun.

Emberstar thought for only a moment more before answering, "You
know what? Sure, I agree," she answered simply. "Just keep in
mind that I don't take traitors lightly, so if anything goes
wrong, there's going to be a problem," Emberstar added, feeling
more more calm and relaxed than before. Now she knew his real
reason for being here, even if he did get her agitated by
crossing the border instead of waiting at it.
Bloomingpaw pulled a robin from the fresh-kill pile and then
slid up beside Yinpaw, who was currently feeding on a little
rodent. "Hey, can I eat with you?" she asked, her voice slightly
muffled by the feathers stuffed in her mouth.

"Great," the tom purred, his maw stretching into a smile. "I
guess I should leave now, then, right? You probably don't want a
street cat stinking up your territory." Darestar snorted in
amusement at his humor.

Fallenfire walked up and narrowed her eyes at Darestar. "No, we
do not want stinky things that attract twolegs in our territory.
I suggest you leave before I lay out herbs you dont wanna be
forced to touch."

"I believe the leader of the clan tells cats what to do, not the
medicine cat, correct me if I'm wrong." The orange cat sneered.
"Eww, herbs! I'm so scared!" he mocked, arching his back
dramatically. He already didn't like his new ally's medic. What
a jerk! "Well, I'll be leaving now," Darestar mewed, casting a
smile at Emberstar and a glare at Fallenfire before skipping
out. He felt proud of himself for being able to find cats
willing to be friends with his clan. Perhaps soon SpeedClan
would be the strongest clan of them all! He sure hoped so, for
the sakes of his fallen brother and mother. And also for the
sake of his pride, but he told himself that didn't matter much.
