Juliet walked through the forest with her head held high. Her
other features could say otherwise, however. She was starting
the catch the scents of other cats; lots of them. She couldn't
help but start to grow a little wary of her surroundings as much
as she tried to look confident. Occasionally she flinched or
whipped her head around to look at some shaking branches. Still,
she kept going, hoping to run into a friendly soul.

Romeo happened to be out and about when he caught the scent of
the wandering Juliet. Curious already and growing curiouser, the
red tabby followed the scent, slowing as he neared the female.
He came to a stop as his gaze found her, growing distracted from
what he should be saying for a moment. She's perfect, he
thought, and another thought butted in, Focus on the task at
hand, idiot. Putting on a charming smile, he decided to follow
both trains of thought. "What might be your name, lovely lady? A
beautiful dame such as yourself must have as sweet a name to
match," he flirted unabashedly, coming closer to Juliet as he
spoke.

Juliet heard someone approaching so she jumped and turned, her
eyes wide but stance strong and ready to defend herself.
However, it wasn't long before her gaze softened. A charming tom
strolled over to her with no intent of harming her, it seemed.
When he spoke, he did his best to be endearing and it worked.
Blush settled across her soft gray cheeks. She was not often
complimented, if at all. Whether he really meant it or not was
unknown to her.
She offered a small smile. "Ah um, thank you. You're very
sweet," she said, dipping her head. She stood a bit taller in an
attempt to match his confident stance. "My name is Juliet.
What's yours?"

"Romeo is my given name, my princess, but you may call me
whatever you like," the male purred in response, taking a step
closer, but giving her the space to move away if she so chose.
Although he enjoyed flirting with her, he didn't want to push
her too far our of her comfort zone or make her feel as if she
had to return his advances. Interest on his side didn't mean he
expected it in return. "Is there anything at all I could do for
you, darling, or are you just a wanderer?" Romeo continued,
smile turning more warm and genuine as he made his offer to her.

Juliet did not budge when he moved towards her, but kept her
eyes on him as he did so. She smiled more without meaning to,
and she really wished her face didn't look as red hot as it
felt. "Romeo sounds quite nice to me," she said. As he
continued, her smile withered and she let out a sigh. "I hope
so. I do feel like a wanderer lately," she admitted. "I'm
looking for a clan. I don't know much about them, but I wanted
to see one for myself. Do you know of one?"

"You're in luck. It just so happens that you've come across
exactly what you were looking for," he responded, looking
considerably more excited at the prospect of an expansion to
their Clan. "We don't have a name quite yet, but I can show you
to where we've made our camp and you can meet everyone else, if
you'd like," Romeo offered, gesturing in the direction of the
camp with his tail.

"Wait, really?" Her face brightened and her head lifted. This
time she took a step towards him, hopefully not into his face.
"Yes, please! Can you take me? Take me to your camp?" she said,
her eyes focusing on him in wait for his reply. After a couple
seconds she backed up and cleared her throat, relaxing but
keeping her tall posture. At least, as tall as she could be at
her short stature.
