       like we used to do / open

       Sandy stalked through the forest. She was going on a hunt, she
       had said, but not really. She was obviously furious about
       something. Her head hung low and her short tail thrashed around,
       and her bright blue eyes glared at nothing. The calico could be
       a threatening force if she wasn't so small and thin for cat.
       Then she heard a noise. Her attention shifted, and though she
       still seemed a bit distracted, she investigated the sound
       reluctantly. Sandy paused and looked around. She sniffed the
       air, but there weren't any fresh prey scents around. Whatever.
       The calico slowly turned her head forward and continued on.
