cold hard ground // open, exploring
By: Raven` Date: November 12, 2017, 1:50 pm

The idea of banding together was one that Scratch didn't really
expect. Her dream was like the others', in that she saw figures,
a pretty clearing, and potential. However, she didn't know where
that potential laid, nor did she see it becoming a sort of...
"Clan." Civilized group of cats. She had heard of them before
but... well, she wasn't sure. Maybe it could be fun.
She left her brother in their bush, as while everyone adjusted,
they all went to their own respective 'beds' of sorts. Thorn
bushes weren't traditionally comfortable, but the grass beneath
them were usually very plush due to not being trampled on. So,
with a little work and patience, they were able to make a okay
sized den - maybe they could use this for something later? She
shrugged, licking her chops and glancing around. She didn't
really get to see much of the land, and she wondered how much of
it was... theirs.
"Hey, anyone up for some exploring?"

"I am." Sky stretched after coming out of her own
somewhat comfy thornbush.
She was used to waking up early and actually doing stuff, she
was a little afraid their "clan" wouldn't be very stimulating.
Maybe exploring would help put that worry to bed.

Abysma soon appeared as well. She had
heard stories of Clans growing up, as her ancestors had been a
part of those Clans. She was perfectly happy doing this, and it
was why she hadn't been too skeptical of the dream; prophecies
were normal in Clan life. She yawned and stretched, before
wandering close enough to be in hearing range and announced,
"I'll come along too."

Charlie had fallen asleep in a nest he made out of some leaves,
grass, and moss. It wasn't the most comfortable, but it was
better than sleeping on the cold hard ground of the shed. Upon
hearing the proposal for exploring, the siamese groaned and
stood up, walking out to meet the group. "Why not.." he muttered
sleepily, blinking a few times.

Tigger would've fallen asleep too if not for his grumbling
stomach. He worked hard on the den; he wanted it to be as warm
and comfortable as one could do with some bushes. The bulky tom
heard the suggestion and decided that he might as well since his
stomach wouldn't let him nap anyway. He rose and lumbered over,
stretching his achy legs and thorn-pricked paws. "How about we
pick up some grub while we're out, yeah?" Mmm, juicy rabbit. He
couldn't wait.

The American Shorthair liked the sound of hunting. She hadn't
eaten for a while and her old home was quite a ways away from
here. It could be interesting. "I'm up for a hunt." Sky was
practically bouncing with energy to burn.

"Sure, we can catch a few things, as long as y'all aren't too
loud," Scratch teased, mostly towards the bouncy feline named
Sky. She took a quick glance back through the cats who decided
to join her, ears flicking. With a quick nod, she took the lead,
placing one paw in front of the other in a quick trot. She gave
them no notice as to when she was leaving, only a little giggle
and twitching ears.
After a bit of walking, she mused to the ones who kept up.
[b]"So what's your guys's take on... uh... those
Clan things?"

"They're pretty interesting. I had stories of them passed down,
all the way from the big ones way back. It seems they had a
pretty good thing going, up until some disaster hit them and
killed a bunch of them," the small cat responded, getting rather
interested in the conversation. Having grown up with the stories
had influenced and helped her to survive after her father had
died, so she was glad to be having a conversation where she
could talk about it.

"I don't know much about them, just some things here and there."
Sky was happy to be on the hunt and have different group of cats
to finally talk to. New opinions and information was something
she hadn't heard in a while.

Tigger followed behind them with heavy steps and eventually
caught up. He wasn't quite awake yet, but a walk in the fresh
air and a hope for food was sure to wake him up. He listened to
the conversation with a flick of his ear and he snorted. "I
thought they were fake, I'll admit. But after these past few
days and the psychic visions I guess it doesn't sound that weird
anymore," he chuckled. "Maybe you could tell us some your
stories there, Absyma."
