FIRE-PELTED TRIBE || rp thread

[color=gold]He hadn't expected to become the Chieftain so soon.
Silhouette had disappeared not long after she had taken on the
role as the leader of the tribe, and so he was rather surprised
when he was allowed to take the role immediately, since he
wasn't trusted very much by anyone after what he had done to
Ramses. However, it was the rules, so he had taken the role
immediately. Pyromania let his gaze wander around, resting on
the other felines who lived here with him. The majority were
servals, that was natural as it had started out with most of
them being that way. There were a few outcasts in there, but
they were welcomed just as much as anyone else.
He was still rather unsure of himself; he was only just old
enough to be made a trainee, just like his sister was, and yet
now here he was, still but a child, with all of these people
depending on him to know what to say and what to do. He might
have done something drastic before, but that had been to protect
his sister; now that she was gone, he was afraid, and so he
simply sat by his hut and watched, flames that surrounded him
flickering dimly through his nervousness.
---
Despite knowing it was better for the tribe that Ramses was
gone, Weather couldn't help but feel uneasy with Pyromania being
in charge. Despite the death of the former Chieftain being in
the best interest of them all, it was still murder, and she was
afraid that he would be willing to do it again. That was why she
remained right outside her hut for now, watching as light
flurries fell from the sky, causing a touch of white over the
vast empty landscape around and outside the camp. It wasn't too
much that they would be restricted to the camp yet, but she
still preferred to stay inside, out of the wet and cold. Her
flames might keep her warm, but it was the premise of the idea,
not out of any real logical thought process.
Her eyes flickered over to the nervous chief for a minute before
she returned to watching the sky, wondering if it was going to
get heavier to the point of a full-on blizzard or if it would
simply remain as it was for the time being.
---
[color=green]Thunder, unlike Weather, rather enjoyed the snow.
It was interesting to see how he melted the snow as he walked,
leaving a path in the wet and packed snow as he moved. He was
heading towards the entrance of camp, thinking of leading out a
patrol to hunt before the snow got too bad, but he knew he would
have to wait until another hunter or two and a worker showed up.
After all, he couldn't go out all alone, even if it was unlikely
in the precipitation that anything would catch fire.

Little attempted to shake the snow off her coat as she padded
through camp. She had to admit that the icy weather felt nice in
contrast to the constant heat that was their clan. Flames
flickered constantly yet gently off of her pale orange pelt and
kept her warm, so she didn't mind the calm flurries above.
Snowstorms, however, were a whole other issue.
Little padded over to Weather who was, ironically, hiding from
the snowflakes. "Hey," she greeted. A soft yet sad smile rested
on her face.
---
Scratch was inspecting one of the dens from the outside. He
tested any soft-looking spots with his non-twisted paw and made
note of anything that felt like it might give in. He'd already
prepared as much as he could, but the arriving snow reminded him
to double check. If anyone was caved in or hurt by an unstable
den, he knew everyone would look to the workers.
---
Bark was resting, or more like scowling, off to the side. Her
pelt burned on and off as she delved into her thoughts.

"Bark! Come on, you're with me, we're going out to hunt before
the snow gets too heavy. Scratch, I'm aware it's unlikely, but
you're coming along in caves of some sort of mishap," Thunder
called out. He was aware he didn't really have any real power,
but he wanted to get some food here for everyone during the
storm that was sure to come. He waited near the entrance,
waiting patiently for the other two to join him.
---
[color=hotpink]Weather's body posture instantly relaxed as she
saw her friend beside her. A hesitant smile appeared on her face
as she looked over her, flames around her soothing. "Hey,
Little," she greeted her, glad to be with someone she knew and
trusted. The girl returned her gaze to the flurries once again,
a gentle smile still remaining on her face as she did so. "Are
you doing okay, Little? You seem kind of... sad."

"Hm? Oh no, yes, I'm..fine, " she said as she took a seat beside
her friend. "I was just thinking about stuff," she explained
vaguely in hopes that Weather would understand. Sihlo and
Mother. Her sister disappeared so soon after she thought she'd
been snatched from death, too soon. She certainly had taken her
time to grieve and worry and spill out her feelings; it had been
weeks without her return, after all. But now she dealt with the
aftermath, a lingering sadness and hope to see her sister once
again. And Mother, well, it didn't matter how old she grew. She
would never get that picture out of her mind.
Little raised her head and stared up at the fluttering
snowflakes. "You know it doesn't seem so bad when it's like
this, the snow," she commented, maybe in an attempt to distract
herself. "It's pretty."
---
Bark flicked her ear at the sound of her name. She paused to
stretch out her legs and ruffle her chilled fur before stalking
over. She looked as if she'd woken up on the wrong side of the
nest, but that was normal even before the incident. Bark was
always finding something to look grouchy about. In all honesty,
however, she was itching to dig her claws into something and was
relieved to be given the task. "Alright."
---
Scratch dropped what he was doing and walked over to Thunder. He
didn't seem to express much emotion either way, work was work.
He gave Pyro a glance as passed by, but looked away when he
stopped by the two to await their departure.
