THE FIRE-PELTED TRIBE || sign ups

[color=brown]HISTORY
The Fire-Pelted Tribe consists of servals, caracals, and
savannah cats who can light their fur on fire. They don't get
hurt from the flames, nor do they feel pain if someone else's
touch them. Their flames often reflect their emotions, and can
be used offensively.
Of course, there are duds to this whole thing. Before Chief
Silhouette, there have only been a few, as they were tossed out
before they could reproduce. But, now with a better
understanding of these 'duds', more may appear. They are
identical to their fire-pelted counterparts, though they,
themselves, do not possess the fire powers the others do. They
are either melanistic or albinistic and lack powers of any sort.

RANKS
Chieftain – leads the tribe
Heir – will become the chieftain when the current one dies
or steps down
Healer – self explanatory
Healer's Trainee – assists the healer and will take their
place when they die or step down
Workers – focuses on the heavy lifting and building of the
tribe and the territory, usually first to be called for a fire
mishap
Hunters – hunt, as well as serve as the main fighting
force of the tribe
Trainers – elevated hunters and workers who train
trainees, must have mastered both hunter and worker jobs
Trainees – self explanatory
Mothers – self explanatory
Children – self explanatory
Elders – self explanatory

TITLES
Nobles – the ones the chieftain goes to when making
decisions

TERRITORY
The territory is a wide open grassland - where, in the summer,
the grass dries up and becomes extremely flammable. To counter
any possible flare ups, each hunting patrol has a prepared
worker with them, hunting patrols are thinned down until the
first signs of fresh grass. Other than that, there are random
pools of water scattered around the territory, a singular stream
connecting them all. In the winter, a ton of snow falls, which
makes it more difficult to find prey. Usually hunting patrols
are restricted during this time, as blizzards can snuff out
their flames.
CAMP
The camp is in the middle of the territory. The walls are built
up with straw and then covered with mud to keep them less
flammable - the felines either sleep in holes or huts, whichever
suits them more. The Chief has a hut on the back wall, high up
with a ramp leading to it. Beneath that hut is the heir's hut,
then the healer's hut. Workers, hunters, mothers, etc sleep
anywhere else around the camp.
RELIGION
The Tribe's religion is often unclear, as before Sihlo, only the
Chieftain could interpret what they said, and the Chieftain
before her often twisted words and made up things to get his
ways. She changed that, so now the healer can communicate with
the Gods, as well.
It is believed that if you hold the title 'Noble', or are a
Healer or Chieftain, you become one of the Gods when you die.
Everyone else remains your subjects in their heaven, but still
live out their dead days, peacefully.
ADOPTABLES
Here is where you can adopt characters from the story (linked
way above!) if you cannot figure out a char for yourself! Some
come with predetermined ranks and personalities and familial
ties that cannot be changed. If a rank is taken before the
character is adopted (for example, if someone takes the healer
spot before Speckle is taken) then the adopted character will
have stepped down, but can choose (oocly) if they want to step
back up to another position, or to a Noble.

[s][B]SCRATCH[/B] - actual father to Branch and Little, twisted
forepaw, slightly depressed but strong, noble[/s] taken by dawny
CLOUD - large female serval, quiet and strong, noble
[s]WEATHER - trainee female, pregnant with a Ramses' litter, v
close to Little bc they trained together. possibly gay[/s] taken
by storm

[B]APPEARANCE[/B] - Tall serval with a bit more muscle, and a
lot more scars. One of his noticeable features is his twisted
forpaw. It doesn't seem to hinder his duties too much, but it
can get sore after a while. He has a somewhat pale pelt, as if
it faded over time, and cold amber eyes. His pelt seems to
flicker often even when he seems calm, and can burst into a very
strong and constant flame when upset.

usually unhappy but he has his moments

her cool, supportive, helpful, sweet.
