Spencer, known in the other world as Spiderscare, nervously
entered the doctor's office. She wasn't too far along, yet her
stomach had grown so much. It frightened her a bit, before she
was reminded of the extreme fertility in her family, and in most
families of the area. She eased herself into a chair and watched
the kids nearby play, hand resting on her stomach. She had
reached out to the father, offering him to come along and hear
the heartbeat, or multiple heartbeats, for the first time. She
had yet to get a real response, so she left him the address and
time. Spencer hoped to hell that he would come, and wouldn't
       leave her on her own.
The young girl ignored the glare she got from the ginger male
ahead of her. He was a family friend and had brought her here,
even though he despised her situation. She took a deep breath
       and waited in silence.

Charlie, Crow-wing in another universe he didn't know of, was
visiting the doctor upon request of his mother and twin sister.
They simply wanted to make sure there weren't too many fluids in
his lungs. The 30 something year old man glanced up from where
he sat, waiting for his own turn to be checked out, his gaze
landing on his friend Spencer. He knew her condition. In fact,
he had been there when she had announced it. It still shocked
him to think of what happened, but he wouldn't say what she
should do. He simply lifted a pale hand, blotched and spotted
with dark birthmarks, and waved to her, muttering a low and
       raspy, "Hey Spencer."
