The Elders Den(weekly tasks)(Open)
By: Greenstar Date: March 5, 2017, 10:32 am

After the meeting Sunnypaw immediately went over to the elders
den. Her tasks this week had been to patch up the elders den, go
with Crow-wings hunting session, and go to a battle session with
the other apprentices. Once she got there she realized just how
much the elders den had need patching up, Sunnypaw immediately
went to work. She started hearing other apprentices come into
the den.

A less than pleasant smell filled the den as Snakepaw walked in,
carrying in a soaked piece of moss. The damp green clump was
covered in mouse-bile, which he learned the hard way to cover
with a leaf before picking it up to prevent getting the
disgusting stuff in his mouth. He walked past Sunnypaw, flicking
his tail in acknowledgment before he made his way over to the
couple of elders resting at the other side of the den.

Sunnypaw flicked her tail back, she had too much work to do if
she wanted to make it to the training session on time.

Waterpaw blindly followed her sister, tail swishing. She would
get to the nursery, hopefully, later. "It's not that bad in
here." the she-cat hummed, trying to be optimistic for the two
others. Sunnypaw didn't have a bad job, but Snakepaw had to pick
fleas, which must've been... well, something.
"Says the girl with a full pelt of silver fur." Firedash
rumbled, laying on his side. Battles scarred his pelt so much,
and it was easy to see the patches of fur he gave up for his
Clan. He beckoned Snakepaw with his tail, eyes narrowed.
"There's one on my neck, Snakepaw. I know its there. I can feel
it." the elder growled, leg reaching up to itch, but only going
half away, as if he was threatening the action.

[I think I'll have Mistyflower be an actual character every so
often if we need elders]
Mistyflower flicked Firedash's ear gently with her
tail. The elder she-cat did this to her denmate often when he
should either cheer up or stop doing something. A habit built up
since apprenticeship. Mistyflower smiled at the apprentices, a
faint purr in her throat. "At least there are young cats to free
you of your ticks Firedash."

Sunnypaw nodded to her sister and tried to ignore Mistyflower.
She knew Crow-wing loved his mom but she suffocated him with
worry, she also wasn't a big fan of the apprentice. Sunnypaw
just worked around Mistyflower in hopes of not catching her
attention/

The tom glanced over at Waterpaw for a second to glare before
turning back to Firedash. Sure, it got a little easier to deal
with it after doing it so many times, but she wasn't the one
cleaning up the den and getting rid of ticks every week. He was.
Which, of course, gave him no right to talk back. "Got it,"
Snakepaw mumbled over the spongy green plant in his mouth. He
padded over to and around the old red tabby and sat himself down
behind him at his neck. He then dropped the moss onto his paw,
sticking his tongue out with distaste, and then got to work,
slightly kneading the soaked moss against the area to encourage
the tick to get the heck out.

"Waterpaw, don't you have chores to do?" Sunnypaw whispered to
her sister. She wasn't trying to get rid of Waterpaw, she just
didn't want Waterpaw to get in trouble.

"Owlkit will be fine with a little breeze in her den for just a
few more moments." Waterpaw responded, tail swishing. "We never
talk anymore, and I'm sure as the elders will say, us siblings
need to stick together if anything." the grey tabby hummed,
bumping her hip into Sunnypaw's.
"I can do it myself, Mistyflower." the tom rumbled, it slowly
fading into a purr as Snakepaw kneaded the moss into his neck.
"I just like giving the apprentices jobs." he finally said,
resting his head on his paws. He winced slightly as the tom
worked on his neck, though he did notice the younger tom's
tongue. [b]"Some apprentices hold it with their chest and chin,
Snakepaw. Then you wouldn't have to taste it."

Sunnypaw smiled while rolling her eyes, her sister always did
silly stuff like this. "Alright, how about after the training
session if we're both free we hang out okay? I wanna make sure I
finish this before then." Sunnypaw loved her sister but when
Waterpaw was around Sunnypaw had trouble focusing on her tasks.
