Flora. Lightningstar's features softened to show her surprise.
She could see the resemblance, somewhat. Now that the she-cat
had made her motives known, the leader would be much more
cooperative. But like the rest of her clan, she did not
appreciate the rage rising up in the young she-cat. It wasn't
her place her take the offensive; she was the one who had
intruded. Lightningstar had to keep herself from unsheathing her
claws. She had to be the calm one, here. "Don't get your tail in
a twist. My warrior is right. We don't have any reason to help
you if you attack. Stand down, then we'll talk."

before her face gave a twitch and she huffed. These cats were
right, she needed to be calm. She tried to steady her breathing.
That worked a bit. She forced her fur to lie flat and sat down,
her tail twitching swiftly as she forced herself to remain

The silver warrior let a smirk cross his face. Finally, his soft
leader was showing some sense. But if he hadn't been there,
would she do the same? His ear twitched slightly as he watched
the loner begin to calm down and show slight signs of
submission. A shudder of satisfaction creeped down his spine.

Since everyone else finally calmed down, so did Maplefur. Maybe
her nice day wouldn't be completely ruined after all.

Flora wasn't often out of the caves, though Muddypaw insisted
that she smell fresh air again. The young tom, really, was still
trying to kiss Lightningstar's ass, and possibly get his full
name. He walked ahead of her, and she swerved with him, as if
she was on a leash. Hearing a heated argument, the tom curled
his lips back. "Flora, stay back. I don't want to be the cause
of some orphan kids." he growled. The tabby obeyed, crouching
underneath some bush as the apprentice pushed forward.
"What's going on?" he asked as he approached, head low and eyes
flickering with annoyance.
