"Could've just said so instead of making it seem like you're
part of a prophecy or whatever," He grumbled, then sighed.
"Sorry." He glanced briefly at his paws, then looked at
Crow-wing's paws. He didn't know what to say anymore. Was he
supposed to chase him off? For some reason, he didn't want to.
He'd much rather just talk for once instead of fighting. "Is
HazeClan nice?" He asked suddenly, looking up.

air of calmness. He sat down, a simple sign he was going to stay
put. He watched Silentstripe in the meantime, and his ears
perked at the other tom's question. "It's easy to maneuver
around after you live in it for so long, and our gods and
ancestors walk amongst us in the mists. I'd say it's nicer than
a cave, where there is no sky or the calming sounds of toads and
crickets."[/font]

Silentstripe looked up and caught Crow-wing's eyes. He gave him
a sheepish grin. "Sorry, again." He waited quietly and listened
to him speak, wondering what it wouldve been like to be born in
HazeClan instead of GoldClan. "Tunnels aren't too bad, I mean..
you're more secure there," he said, flicking an ear. "But it
wouldnt be too bad to be in the open either. It's nice to sleep
under the stars," he mumbled, looking at the sky. It was already
growing darker, and a few stars could be seen dotted on the
horizon, but he didn't wanna go back to camp. Not yet.

need for walls for safety. I would think caves are unsafe." His
ears twitched slightly. "I heard of cave ins. And how do you
even catch prey?" He appeared genuinely interested in that. It
was mind boggling for Crow-wing to imagine hunting in the open
or in a cave, without the comforting cover of the mists and
presence of the ancestors.[/font]

He shrugged. "They can be unsafe, but caveins don't happen a
lot. Usually if we cover the walls with mud, it hardens and
kinda reinforces it, but most of it is stone anyway." He
hesitated. Why was he telling Clan secrets to another Clan cat?
He would never do something this stupid. Silentstripe shifted
his paws. "There's rabbits and mice that come down often.
Sometimes bats too, but they don't have much meat on them." He
looked back up, unsure of what to say next.

but he would glance the way he came for any sign of his
clanmates. He was surprised when he realized it's because he
didn't want to see the seemingly friendly GoldClanner get chased
off or injured in a skirmish. He looked back over to said
warrior, meowing, "Do you have an apprentice? I have one,
Sunnypaw. She's an excellent hunter for how long she's been
training." Truth be told, the only reason he brought up his
apprentice was because of her knack to sneak up on even the most
skilled of HazeClan. It was enough to put anyone on edge when
you didn't know where she was.[/font]

The silver warrior shook his head. "No, I should though," he
said, shifting his paws. How would he ever achieve his dream of
becoming deputy if he didn't have an apprentice? "A few kits
will be apprenticed soon though, surely I'll get one of them."
The thought of being stuck with those annoying kits irritated
him, but he had to prove himself somehow. Silentstripe looked up
at the sky, surprised at how much time had passed. The moon was
rising and stars dotted the dark sky.

That's odd. When Silentstripe looked to the sky, Crow-wing found
himself doing the same, realizing how late it truly was. Their
clanmates might decide they've been gone long enough and come
looking for them. He found it odd how he didn't want tone leave,
wanting to stay and talk to the GoldClan warrior for
longer.[/font]

Silentstripe nodded, slightly surprised. He shared the secret of
his ambition with another cat, why? "I'm hoping to straighten
things up in the Clan one day. Too many loners asre being let
in," he replied. He looked back down from the sky. "I hope my
Clanmates don't come looking for me," he muttered, almost as if
echoing Crow-wing's thoughts. He shuffled his paws on the cold
ground. What would his Clanmates do if they saw him talking with
a HazeClanner? It would ruin his chances for deputy for sure.
But for some reason, he found that he didn't really care. It was
nice to talk to someone other than his Clanmates for once.

another cough, but it counted as a response. This tom was hoping
to change his clan? It's an average goal. "I would like to see
what changes you'd make." His gaze now lingered on the nearby
mist, watching for movements. He was expecting either his
clanmates or the ancestors to appear to tell the two of them
off.[/font]
