When cats don't see you [Open]

Sunnypaw was watching the other cats through the fog as usual.
Given her silver fur and quiet nature it was easy for her to
either accidently or intentionally sneak up on the others.
However since she was still an apprentice she had to stay within
camp boundaries unless given permission by her mentor,
Crow-wing. It was mid-day so almost everyone was awake. None of
them noticed her in the tree though they usually wouldn't,
Sunnypaw noticed two cats talking. She hopped down on a lower
branch in order to hear them better.

Crow-wing wheezed slightly, his grey fur bristling
along his neck when his elderly mother tried to display concern
for him. As he grew, his asthma and coughing fits had been
getting worse, probably egged on by the constant moisture of
HazeClan territory. The large warrior let a growl rumble in his
weak throat when his mother once again insisted he take herbs
for his cough.
"Mother, if the ancestors believe I need this cough my entire
life, then I should welcome it, not try to keep it away." His
tail flicked with annoyance as his mother continued to worry
over him and Sunnypaw made her approach.

Sunnypaw rolled her eyes, Crow-wing's mother was always
overprotective. Sunnypaw considered approaching the two, in an
attempt to save her mentor, but she instead decided to watch and
see how this conversation progressed.

Crow-wing's ears flicked back as his gazed
narrowed at the older speckled she-cat. She seemed to notice
Sunnypaw despite her poor eyesight, and her dulled eyes flicker
from the apprentice to her son. She sighed softly. "We can talk
about this later Crow-wing." The grey speckled she-cat got up
and turned, tail dragging slightly. Her son won these arguments
every time.
The grey furred warrior gave a quiet snort, but his throat
tightened and transformed it into a wheeze and once again he
started his coughing. It was then he turned, his coughs settling
as he spotted his apprentice.

Sunnypaw smirked and waved, few cats ever even knew she was
alive. Somehow her mentor always noticed her. He was serious and
always believed the spirits were responsible for a lot of stuff.
Sunnypaw had no idea if the spirits were, but hey who am she to
judge. She decided to climb down and hoped he was in a hunting
mood. "Hey, how was your mom?"

"She always finds a way to bring up herbs." His
ears twitched slightly towards his apprentice as she approached,
his tail twitching slightly. He let out a rumbling sort of sigh,
evidence that there was the very likely possibility he'd have
another coughing fit soon, but Crow-wing stood straight, looking
down at his apprentice. "We should get some hunting done. I
don't believe a proper patrol went out recently."

"I'm always ready for a good hunt, lead the way." Sunnypaw
gestured with her paw, even she thought Crow-wing needed to
loosen up.

The warrior stepped ahead of his apprentice,
leading the way to the edit and to the rest of the territory.
His amber gaze always watched the fog, though he eventually
paused, seeming this location an alright place to begin hunting.
He turned to his apprentice, blinking once. "Do you scent
anything hiding?"
