of a feather || open, intro

Crowe wasn't exactly sure where she was. Nothing
about this place really made any sense to her. "Hello?" Crowe's
voice echoed throughout the misty forest as she called out for
someone in the hopes they would find her.

Morningstar, having finally promoted a new deputy, had decided
to go take a walk around the territory. The fog had finally
thickened out once more, so he took it as a sign that their
ancestors were happy with his choice. As he was wandering, he
caught an unfamiliar scent. It definitely wasn't HazeClan, but
it certainly didn't seem like GoldClan either. His eyes narrowed
and he cautiously began to approach when he heard a voice call
out. It eased his worries, as it seemed as if whoever it was had
simply gotten lost. He stayed far enough away that she couldn't
see him, though he could tell where she was due to his
experience living here. "Who are you?" he asked from afar,
taking a seat as he awaited her response.

Spiderscare was lost once. As a kitten, just born. She was found
and taken in by the Clan, perhaps in the same manner as the new
lost cat. Or, perhaps, she'll be found, whereas the new deputy
would remain lost. The tortie was wandering aimlessly, thoughts
rushing through her head about her promotion. Their ancestors
seemed okay with it, but she wasn't entirely sure that she was.
She only stopped wandering when she heard Crowe's call for
assistance. With a bit of scenting, she ended up finding her
brother instead, and peered through the fog at the lost loner.
"Don't be mean, Morningstar. She's obviously lost." the tortie
pouted, tail twitching nervously. "Hiding in the mist won't help
her, it'll scare her." she continued, but didn't budge from her
spot beside him. If he thought making the fog talk was the best
way to go about things, then she wasn't going to change his
mind.

Crowe's heart practically stopped when she heard
voices coming from the fog. She turned her head to where she
thought it could be coming from, then turned her head the other
direction when nothing was there. "W-where are you?' the young
she-cat asked

"Ah, don't be scared." the she-cat twitched her tail as she left
the safety of the fog to approach the other. "We're not going to
hurt you. We just want to know why you're here." Spiderscare
attempted a nice, quiet tone for the she-cat.

"W-why I'm here?" Crowe asked, ears flattened. She
was pretty afraid of these cats, especially the one still hidden
in the fog. "I-I don't know... One minute I could see the entire
forest, and the next I couldn't even see my own paws! Where am
I?'

After a moment of debating wiht himself, he sighed and walked
forward, revealing himself and stepping out of the fog. "That
tends to happen to those who enter this forest. If you'd like,
we could help to lead you out of HazeClan's territory. Or, if
you think you can prove yourself capable, you could join, if
you'd rather do that. It's your decision."

"HazeClan?" Crowe asked, now even more confused
than before. "What is HazeClan? It sounds kinda creepy."

"It does sound kinda creepy," a skinny brown tabby spoke as he
appeared from the white mist, a small smile on his face. "Well,
that's probably because it is. But don't worry, sweetheart.
HazeClan is just a bunch of cats worshiping dead cats. Nothing
to be afraid of." Snakepaw slowly came to a stop and sat down,
keeping up his smug smile.
