bit of a posture [open, queen on the territory]
       By: Raven` Date: January 7, 2017, 11:51 am

Flora staggered, her breathing getting worse and worse as she
went on. Her children would be born soon, but she couldn't stop.
She had to find a safe place, first. Somewhere they could grow
up, where she could watch them grow up. She wanted to keep them
so bad, that she ran away from her twolegs for it.
"Ah-" she stumbled, falling on her side. She couldn't get up,
her legs refusing to listen. The she-cat panted, looking around.
She spotted a cave and forced herself up. Once inside the cave,
she finally rested, and began kitting. Before long, many bundles
of fur lay before her, but she could only see one fight for
life. The other two didn't even shuffle. Tears pricked her eyes,
but she focused on the one that was moving.
"Come, child. Eat your fill." she whispered.
[ whop wop. If u don't got a goldclan kitty yet n need a reason,
here u go. take a child. make it move. make flora happy. ]

(i need a reason for a goldclan kitty so i'm gonna snatch one)
It took a while but eventually, the smallest of the bunch began
to squirm slightly. His body was weak at the moment, and he
couldn't really do much, so instead he mewled quietly, trying to
attract the attention of his mother.
(ok so he'll be the runt of the litter, silver tabby w blue eyes
and random white specks throughout fur, name will be
snowkit/snowflurry bc of the weird markings)

Silentstripe was out in the territory, as he had been for the
past few days, excerising and building muscle to fight away the
cold breezes that came occasionally. Today, he had been
wandering the caves of the territory, looking for any predators
that may have been lurking, like wolves or mountain lions.
That's when he was stopped in his tracks, catching the strong
scent of milk nearby. He followed the scent, pausing every few
moments to leave his own scent in random spots. No harm in
making sure this kitty knows what's mine, he thought bitterly as
he made his way. Eventually, he came upon the cave and poked his
head in, making sure not to show enough emotion. But he couldn't
help what he saw. A queen, and some kittens, only one of them
making an effort to eat. "Mouse-dung," he hissed to himself as
he stood up straighter, clearing his throat. "Excuse me miss,
sorry to intrude, but you seem to be having some trouble there,"
he started off, being careful with his words. Struggling
she-cats were short-tempered creatures. "And you're on our
territory, so you have no right to chase me away." He bit his
tongue, silently scolding himself. Too harsh, too harsh.

Flora noticed the feeble kit trying his best, and gave him a
nudge. Two sons. Two strong sons would pull through, but she was
unsure if the third would be able to, at all. She hummed a
steady purr, hoping to quiet her kits, when an unfamiliar scent
washed over her. She stared at the silver tabby, eyes wide and
hackles raised. Despite him speaking in a quiet, polite tone,
she couldn't find a reason to feel safe.
"This is... This is one of those Clan's, right?" she asked,
voice hitching a bit. She remembered a story of her sister being
taken to a Clan... Maybe it was this one? She didn't know the
name of it. "Do you... Do you have room? I won't stay for long,
if I can't stay forever. Just until the kits can walk." she
offered, hoping her pleading tone will sway the tom to help her.

When his mother nudged him closer, he managed to push up against
her and start nursing, soaking in as much warmth as he could
from the large body that was here. As she began to purr, it
lulled him into a light sleep.

"Yes, this is GoldClan. Normally we'd chase out intruders, but
you're not exactly in good shape to be chased," he said. He
watched the kittens carefully, feeling his heart melt. He may
have been big and bad and tough, but he had a soft spot for
kittens."I think we have enough room. I'm sure my leader would
be glad to help you," Silentstripe said softly. 'If only she'd
       show up,' he thought.

Lightningstar sighed with satisfaction after she successfully
caught another piece of prey, a mouse. She didn't know why the
prey was running so well today, but she definitely wasn't
complaining. The leader picked it up in her jaws and was about
to turn around when she heard talking. It didn't seem so strange
at first, and she suspected it might just be patrol passing by.
But then the scents of milk and blood and intruder all hit her
and there was no question whether she would investigate. After
hurriedly burying the rodent, the long-haired she-cat swiftly
followed the trail, stepping faster as she approached a rockier
       surface.
Soon, she found herself stepping into a cave without much
hesitation. There was one of her warriors and a new mother that
she definitely did not recognize. While she could waste time
with suspicions, she decided to go straight to the point.
"What's going on here?" Lightningstar asked a bit sternly. She
couldn't help it. It was her job put up a wall against strangers
of the clan, especially if they could've hailed from HazeClan.
Though with further observation of the situation, her gaze
softened at the sight of the weak mother providing for her
little bundles of fuzz. "Is..everything alright?"

He sighed with relief as his leader appeared. He couldn't take
another minute of watching the mother, helpless. "I found this
queen here. I suspect she had just given birth, and she needs
shelter before a predator gets to her," he explained to
Lightningstar. Though, he couldn't answer the last question. He
didn't know if the she-cat was in pain, or if she was sick, or
if some of her kits were dead or not. She would have to answer
       that for herself.

Flora flinched when she saw the strong she-cat approach. Her
tail instinctively brushed against her children as the
black-and-white leader spoke, eyes watching the exchange between
the two. When the leader asked if she was fine, the brown tabby
was unsure of what to say. "I'm... I'm tired. I'm scared." she
started, ears turning and flattening against her skull.
"My kits... I don't know. Two of them are moving. But this
one... She's cold. She's really, really cold." Flora flicked her
tail as she buried her nose into the fur of her dead child, a
tear leaking from her eye. She almost forgot about the others,
only remembering them when the large, brown-and-white tom
sneezed. "I don't want them all to get cold like this. Please, I
won't hurt anyone, I won't even leave the bed I'm assigned to."
the ex-kitty-pet pleaded, eyes growing watery once more.

Lightningstar looked over at Silentstripe for a few moments
while he spoke, but quickly brought her gaze back to the young
mother. As she admitted her fears and explained herself, it was
hard not to feel pity. But that was the thing. She knew she
couldn't just go around accepting helpless cats into the clan.
GoldClan was about strength and independence, and she didn't
want to lose sight of that. But this was a new mother, tired,
hungry, and alone, and with even more hungry mouths to feed. In
this case, she didn't consider mercy a weakness.
"It's alright, don't worry. You can come stay in the camp.
You'll be safe there, and we can make sure your family is
healthy and well-fed," the leader gently assured her.
Lightningstar couldn't see a bad side to allowing the mother to
stay in the clan. Perhaps she'd decide to stay and raise her
kits there, and the leader wouldn't deny a couple more additions
to the clan. And even though the weak creature didn't seem very
independent, here she was birthing a litter in the wild all on
her own. That was brave enough for her.
