Man, what a boring night that had been. Lightpaw-- No. He was
Lightflash now. Lightflash had just been made a warrior, and
that had been pretty cool! But the vigil? Not very cool. The
yellow tabby gave a loud yawn as he wandered into camp, giving a
grumble of exhaustion along with a grumble of his empty stomach.
Why did the vigil even exist again? He had no idea.

Spiderscare could remember her vigil. It wasn't that long ago,
and due to her throat, she didn't mind not speaking to anyone.
The only thing she did mind was how lonely she was, protecting
the camp while everyone slept. It made her think of her real
parents - did they kit her siblings? If they did, where were
they? Would they enjoy sitting a vigil with her?
The she-cat yawned as she awoke, her nest still tucked in the
corner of the warrior den. The warriors were nice, sometimes
cranky, but they were nothing like the apprentices she missed.
But wait! Lightpaw - er, Lightflash, was just made a warrior!
Spiderscare put on a sleepy smile and gathered together some
moss and feathers for the probably-sleepy warrior. She put them
together into a nest not too far from her own, hoping the other
wouldn't mind her late night chats.
"Lightflash, I take your vigil was successful." she called to
him, ears flicking as the dawn patrol left. Like clockwork,
really. She briefly wondered when she would be sent out, or if
today would be her day off. Who knows? "I made a nest for you,
if you wanted to sleep. They let me sleep until sun-high, as
long as I was ready for a border patrol." she quietly hummed,
tail flicking towards the den.
