[font=times new roman]hazeclan's origins are not quite clear,
but the story goes as follows; an ancient feline by the name of
deliriadreams had been wandering, not quite aware of her
surroundings but not completely gone either. she happened to
come across a forest that was filled with a thick, misty fog,
and quickly became lost in it. soon, she began to see familiar
faces in the fog; lost loved ones, from when she had been much
younger. they taught her how to navigate the fog and helped her
to get out of the forest. however, this experience stuck in her
mind. a few months later, she returned with a large group of
cats, wanting to start a clan like the one she used to live in
so that they could preserve the forest and the spirits who live
on in the fog. soon enough, she died, passing the leadership on
to her closest confidant. he completed the creation of the clan,
making it as she had planned as a way to honor her
legacy.[/font]

[font=times new roman] territory [/font]
[font=times new roman]hazeclan's name came from the constant
state of it's territory. the forest they live in is made up of
marshy land, with water taking up most of the space in their
territory. hazeclanners sleep in the trees, as it much more
convenient, as well as safer than living on the ground. the only
dry place in the camp was hollowed to be used as a den for the
nursery, since the kits would not be able to climb nor remain in
the trees. the forest is always cool, since it is nearly
constantly filled with the thick fog that gave the clan its
name.[/font]

[font=times new roman] religion [/font]
[font=times new roman]the members of hazeclan worship their
ancestors and the old clans. they believe that the members of
the old clans, especially ones like fallingstar and hissingstar,
became almost like gods when they died, and that their forest
holds the spirits of all the members of the old clans who passed
away, and that when they died they join the other spirits as a
part of the fog.[/font]

[font=times new roman] traditions [/font]
[font=times new roman]there are, of course, all the traditional
ceremonies: apprentice ceremonies, warrior ceremonies, elder
ceremonies, vigils, deputy ceremonies, leadership ceremonies,
medicine cat ceremonies, and name changing ceremonies. however,
they do have their own traditions as well.
night of the spirits;; once a month, on the night of the full
moon, all members are relieved of duty for the preceding and
following days. they then spend this time out in the territory
in the fog, so they can attempt to connect to their ancestors in
the same way the first leader of their clan, deliriadreams, did.
it's rumored that the spirits are easier to see one the night of
the full moon. clan members do not have to return to work until
the following day and night have passed, so more hunting patrols
are sent out in the preceding days to prepare for it. they must
fast the day before if they are going to participate.[/font]
