➳ religion
⇝ in the religion, which is nameless, they believe in
two gods; one who watches over them in the warm months, and one
in the cold months. the warm god is the one they believe gives
life, and the one who takes care of them and answers their
prayers. the cold god is the one they believe takes life away,
and rules over the afterlife. sacrifices are made to them
seasonally to appease them; this is what the prisoners tend to
end up as, unless a higher member volunteers.
➳ territory
⇝ they live in an old castle that seems to be in the
middle of nowhere. there is a large, dark forest to the west. to
the east is the sea. to the north is a meadow that holds a
river, which is where most of their drinking water comes from,
as they bring the water to the castle rather than go to the
river to drink. finally, to the south is a ravine with a single
bridge. this ravine runs around their entire territory, meaning
the only way to get there is to cross the rope bridge or fly.
➳ laws
⇝ only males may hold the positions of king, prince,
baron, heir, surgeon, or surgeon's squire
⇝ the religion is strict. it is not enforced
completely, but all members are expected to know it. as the
royal family follows this religion, lower members can not object
to it forthright. they are not forced to practice it, however.
⇝ any prisoner is at risk of becoming a sacrifice each
season.
⇝ if you speak against a member of the royal family,
you can be demoted to a lower rank.

⇝ king - leader, can only be male [1]
⇝ prince - deputy, can only be male, must be family of
the king [1]
⇝ baron - next deputy, can only be male, must be
family to the king [1]
⇝ heirs - any male member of the royal family who is
not a baron, prince, or king [no limit, not chosen ooc]
⇝ surgeon - medic, only males, work with surgeries,
bones, etc [1]
⇝ surgeon's squire - medic apprentice, only males,
work with surgeries, bones, etc [1]
⇝ alchemist - medic, usually male though females can
be as well, work with potions, herbs, etc [1]
⇝ alchemist's squire - medic, usually male though
females can be as well, work with potions, herbs, etc [1]
⇝ knights - warriors [unlimited]
⇝ squires - apprentices [unlimited]
⇝ mothers - any female with children [unlimited]
⇝ pages - any creature under six months [unlimited]
⇝ elders - those who are no longer any use to the clan
(old, disabled, demoted) [unlimited]
⇝ prisoners - those who have betrayed or are of no use
to the clan, and are often executed/sacrificed [1-3]
