       THROUGH THE WOODS WE RAN [private, stormy]

       Skykit had just shredded a leaf. He stood triumphantly for maybe
       a second or two before he sighed and hung his head. Chasing and
       ripping apart leaves were only so fun the first few times now
       that he was older. He watched a couple of apprentices leave camp
       on a patrol and wished he could run over and join them. They
       were total strangers, but if he was an apprentice it wouldn't
       matter to him. He liked making friends anyway. Not that he had
       any now.
       The tom was still really bored, and lonely. If leaves weren't
       good enough for him, he needed to find something else to do. The
       silver tabby began wandering around camp in search of a friend
