Briarkit, Brookkit and Chestnutkit have discovered that outside
the nursery, it's much more dangerous and there are no mommas to
keep you safe when their home is torn through by a terrible
storm and find themselves hopelessly lost in what used to be
their clan's territory.

[font=times new roman] A silvery she cat with stars in her
pelt, looked at the night sky with eyes as pale as her fur. Her
ears twitched as she glanced to the right. A fog was there,
separating StarClan from the Dark Forest. She saw a scar covered
ginger tom came from the thick mist. Darkness oozed from him and
made his amber eyes brighter than they already were.
They stared at one another for a moment before they smiled
to each other and approached one another. The she cat nuzzled
his cheek as he licked her forehead. She glanced up at the
ginger tom, ears swiveling forward.
"Applescar... we.. we can't keep meeting." The ginger tom
blinked in surprise and looked down at her, his smile fading.
"What do you mean? I know our paths were different but...
that shouldn't stop us from loving..." The silver she cat sighed
softly, claws unsheathing and digging into the pale grass.
"There's another way."
"What way?"
She looked up at Applescar, blue eyes bright. "She cats
are expecting kits." Applescar grinned slightly. He could
finally be with her again? After so many moons of breaking all
laws and rules set for their afterlife?
"When?"
"Tonight."[/font]

[center][font=times new roman]Chapter 1[/font][/center]

[font=times new roman] Briarkit awoke to his sister
prodding him in the side with her big white paws. He opened his
eyes to see her grinning face with Brookkit giggling in the
background.
"Finally! You're gonna miss it!" Briarkit looked up at
Chestnutkit, a confused expression going across his face.
"Miss what...?" Brookkit giggled again.
"The star fall, fuzz brain!" Briarkit instantly got to his
paws, quickly shaking his fur. The two she kits laughed as he
tried to make himself look his best before bounding past them.
The two were following, squeaking in excitement as they jumped
onto the tom kit. They rolled slightly before stopping and
giggling as they laid on their backs, looking at the dark night
sky. Their clanmates sat amongst them. Their mothers were
gossiping to one another as their fathers sat nearby.
Mintpaw and Shellpaw were discussing how they should mess
with their brother, who was sitting next to Witheredfoot, who
was also Brookkit's mother. Briarkit once questioned how their
family was so big, but was told not to ask such questions when
his mother, Seeddapple, overhead him. Since then he didn't think
about it.
He watched the medicine cat talk to Littlebird. To him
they seemed close, but he shouldn't be thinking of that stuff.
That was for his mother to gossip about. Briarkit felt weight
suddenly added on top of him and started paying attention to his
denmates again. His sister was laying on his belly while his
friend laid on top of her. He made an annoyed sound.
"Get off! I can't see the stars with your big heads in the
way!"
Chestnutkit giggled. "But you provide the best view, right
Brookkit?" The other she kit nodded in agreement.
Seeddapple looked over at them. "Play nice you three! The
stars should start falling soon!"
The two whined and grumbled about just sitting being
boring. The trio padded over to their families, sitting quietly
with them and waited. Soon the most beautiful display of
shooting stars filled the sky, making the kits' eyes widen and
glow in amazement.
During the show, they of course fell asleep, and were
carried back to the nursery to sleep. Clouds had begun to fill
the skies. Dark clouds.[/font]
