Colored Mist smiled. "Before you
move onto the canvas, I want to show you how to mix paint. First
off, I want to explain what colors mix to make what," she began,
"The primary colors are blue, red and yellow. You cannot mix
colors, without spending several hours and not getting the color
exactly right, to make those three colors. Blue and red make
purple, blue and yellow make green and red ad yellow make
orange. Of course you can add the primary colors to the mix to
make the colors closer to that primary. Green, orange and purple
are secondary colors," she ended.
"Okay, I won't go on just yet. If you understand, try testing
out mixing. If you don't understand, I can explain it again."
Colored Mist almost forgot something. [b]"Wait, before you
start, remember to use the part you hold, the handle, of the
paintbrush to mix the paint. There are paper towels in my bag
that you can use to wipe off the paint."

She nodded, then turned the brush so the handle was pointing
down. She carefully tried to mix the blue and red.

a lighter or darker color, add white paint for lighter or black
paint for darker," Colored Mist instructed.

She nodded and followed her instructions, mixing a bit of white
into the purple to get a lighter shade.
