Joining--Echoes of the past--Open roleplay
By: Kalla Date: April 14, 2016, 2:53 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Emi walked a path among the forest floor, paws aching with
exhaustion as she trudged on.
The she cat was banished from a former clan that she had
forgotten the name of long ago.
As the sunlight started to be blocked by the tall branches of
the trees trying to touch the sky.
It was a warm sunny day that day. Even under the shadows
underneath the trees, Emi could feel the sunlight's warm touch
feel her pelt.
Her golden eyes looked down at the paw she no longer had, due to
a badger attack on her previous camp.
It was ripped off of her like a leaf of a tree during autumn,
yet she felt nor remembered the pain since it seemed as if it
was centuries ago.
Emi's paws took her as far as they'd go, and she fell onto the
grass.
Her pads had blisters and her tail was gone; her eyes were
feverish and her energy was none.
She was like a leaf to a tree, breaking off and falling with
ease.
The former deputy had remembered so many faces that had lost
meaning so long ago, yet she could almost hear voices from them
like an echo from the other side.
Which started from an echo, turned into a sound, which turned
into a louder noise, in which grew into a symphony of voices
telling her to get up and that they'd guide her.
But she couldn't.

Moki was strolling around the territory, which was pretty
typical for her. She hummed to herself quietly as she carelessly
walked along, crunching dead leaves and twigs underpaw. Almost
like a badger. Except, the tortie looked nothing like a badger.
Oh well. Moki stumbled, rolling into some grass. It startled her
to feel a warm pelt beside her, and she jumped up, surprised.
The tortie loojed down at Emi, shock filling her gaze. "Hey..
are you okay?" She asked, poking the feverish cat with a
forepaw.

Emi looked up.
The she cat could only see blurs of light and fur.
Her dirt covered white fur ruffled at the presence of her.
"Yes?" She mewed to her in response, sadly not hearing her.

"Are you okay?" The tortoiseshell repeated.

Emi tried to answer, but her lips were too drive enough to form
words and her throat was too sore to breathe.
She then tried to give Moki a signal to tell her she needed help
by waving her tail, but the immense weakness throughout her body
made her tail fall back to the ground like a blossom.
She then finally tried to just look at her to try and remain
calm, but soon her sight was fading into nothingness accompanied
with an inky black.
She then lay still, a tiny bit of breathing leaving her from the
other side.
Her metallic arm lay on top of the regular one, almost crushing
it like a leaf in fall being crushed by feet.
Emi could get simple glances of the other side, if only she
could reach for the loved ones that sat there as if to wait for
someone.

Moki shook her head and gently grabbed Emi's scruff. "Stay with
me." She grunted, as she tried to drag the she-cat back to the
camp

Emi gave no protest.
The she cat just dragged along the forest floor.
She could already see the other side, but she was determined to
stay alive.
The pains in her stomache due to immense hunger had gotten
relatively worse and worse.

She stopped near some water and set the she-cat down, then went
to the nearest tree. She neatly clawed at the tree, gathering
some moss, before walking to the river. Moki walked back to Emi
and dropped the soaked moss. "Can you drink?" She asked, nudging
her

Windkit padded along by Moki. "Is she okay?" Windkit asked Moki,
staring at Emi.

Emi lapped at the soaked moss, getting a bit of water into her
mouth.
Without answering, she tried to get closer to the awaiting moss,
but failed due to weakness.
The she cat eventually started to lap at the moss more
vigorously to sooth her sore throat.
