i'm as timid as a mouse [p; dawny]

Mazedpaw had walked into camp, carrying her bit of herbs.
Goldenrod.. Marigold.. She shook her head. The young medic was
recently having issues with keeping the herbs on her memory. She
didn't know why, but she felt rather lonely. She missed her kits
dearly, and it's been distracting her greatly. Hell, she nearly
gave Bumblebee yarrow for a cut on his arm. But, didnt that work
anyway? She didn't know. Mazey felt lost. After storing her
herbs, she decided to look around the camp for Teddypaw. Maybe
she could clear her mind enough to hang out with him.

Teddypaw walked into camp with a couple voles, making his way
over to the fresh-kill pile. He had been hunting more often than
usual, lately. He thought it was strange because he used to hate
it, and he still sort of did. It was mostly just to fill up the
pile that was often dwindling, but there was some other reason
he couldn't seem to figure out. He always pushed it away because
he figured it probably wasn't important.
After dropping off his catch, his deep brown eyes caught sight
of his lovely girlfriend, who looked a little stressed out. He
didn't blame her. Being a medicine cat wasn't any easier than
being a warrior, if it wasn't even harder. Teddypaw quickened
his pace and headed over to her, tail swaying. "Hey Mazey," he
greeted, slowing to a stop in front of her. "How are you holding
up?"

"Just missing the kits." She muttered. "How about you? And
where'd the sudden binge-hunting come from?" She asked, a
playful tone edging her voice

Teddypaw didn't seem to have enough time to think or answer her
first reply when she quickly changed the subject. He frowned for
a moment, then replied, "I have no idea, honestly. I'm just as
confused as you are," he explained, gesturing to her with a paw.
It had some blood on it. He quickly pulled it back and cleaned
it off once he noticed it. The tom then set it back down and
looked at her, concerned. "Do you..want to talk about it?" he
asked, returning to the matter of what was bothering her. If she
didn't, that was fine, at least for now. He just wanted her to
feel better.

She narrowed her eyes at his bloody paw. "Are.. you okay?" She
asked, looking back up at him once he set his paw down.
"Mm, well there's really nothing to talk about. I just miss my
kits." She sighed.

[they just keep worrying about each other omg]
Teddypaw quickly shook his head. "It's nothing. Probably just
from hunting," he explained. "And I understand," he said sadly.
"I..I miss them too."

[they so cute mmm]
Mazey sighed. She nuzzled him gently. "They were too young." She
mumbled

Teddypaw sighed as well, swiping his tongue over her forehead.
He attempted to pull her into a hug because he felt that was the
most comforting thing he could give. And also because he wasn't
sure what to say. Even though they were his kits too, he was
never as close to them as Mazey was, being their biological
mother. He didn't want to say the wrong thing. Sometimes silence
was the best comfort anyway.

She accepted his hug, and hugged back, purring softly.
"Thanks.." She murmered

Teddypaw sighed, pulling away after a few long moments. He
smiled bittersweetly. "I'm sorry, Mazey...Do you maybe want to
do something..? To get your mind off things? Unless you're
busy," he suggested.
