Vegas looked from Teddypaw, who had stepped back, to Siren, who
didnt seem to welcome her. Wasn't her kit happy to have her
here? She sighed, looking at her paws. Even Rabbit welcomed her
with fear.

Teddypaw noticed her disappointment since he usually caught onto
other's emotions pretty quickly. "I'm..I'm very sorry for your
loss, Vegas," he said, frowning. "You're still welcome to join,
if you want to."

Thing is, Serendipity wanted to welcome her mother with open
arms. She just thought the she-cat was dead, so seeing her was
like seeing a ghost.
