Emberstar led the two into her den, where she stopped and turned
around to face them. She sat down and gestured for them to sit
as well. "Alright," she sighed. "First, can you please explain
to me why WitheredClan has a problem with us?"

"Apparently, one of our members attacked their nurse." He looked
down. "We tried to reason with him, but the most we could manage
was telling him that we would inform you about it." He finished.

"What..? That's insane!" Emberstar, at first, felt shocked and
offended. How could they accuse them of such a crazy idea? Then
again, she couldn't really say she knew her members wouldn't do
that because she didn't know most of them very well. She
couldn't believe it quite yet, but she was determined to get to
the bottom of it anyway. Either WitheredClan was ignorant and
not right in the head, or someone in her Clan needed a beating.
"Well, we can try to discuss it at the next gathering, or meet
with them. They might've made their choice by now, but it's
worth a try," she finally answered after some deep thought. She
couldn't help but still feel angry, however, she kept it hidden.
At least, she hoped knowing could see the imaginary smoke
steaming out of her ears. This was so unfair. She leaves for
just a few days and a whole Clan hates her.
She took a deep breath and let it out, closing her eyes for a
moment to relax. Emberstar then opened her eyes and turned to
the medicine cat. "Fallenfire, I want to thank you for taking
charge while I was gone. It was definitely appreciated on my
part. If you're willing, I wouldn't mind you leading beside me,
at least for the time being. But I understand if your duties as
a medicine cat need its full attention."

She thought for a moment, then nodded. "I'd gladly co-lead with
you. But i'd need to find an apprentice soon."

Emberstar smiled with relief. "Of course. You may take as much
time as you need to work as a medicine cat and train an
apprentice. Then you can help lead when you feel necessary," she
said.
