[font=times new roman]Sable had sounded a recorded trumpet over
the old intercom system in the base, arousing members from
sleep. After the trumpeting had discontinued, he meowed into the
microphone,
"All members of WitheredClan, gather in the courtyard for a
mandatory meeting!"
He shut off the intercom after repeating the message two other
times and left his den to quickly jump through a window and into
the courtyard. He went to the large rock near the pond and stood
at the top of it, waiting for the members to gather.[/font]

A small tom named Nine walked over, ears perked. The white tom
curled his tail, looking around while waiting for other cats.

The frail fem trotted forward, her front arm bound with a stick
and some old bandage. It was a long story on how she broke it,
one she didn't want to dive into, but that's what it was. Broken
and, due to the absent medicine cat, bound awkwardly. Her leg,
when it was healed, would be twisted, proving to be difficult to
walk. Oh well, she'd deal. Shelly limped over to where they met,
sitting beside Nine.

"My leg?" she echoed, then giggled a little. "Oh, its fine. It
hurts a little, though." she turned her gaze down to the broken

straight and squared his shoulders slightly.
"It has come to my attention that we are lacking our high powers
and semi high powers. I am planning on choosing my master
sergeant and the sergeant soon, but this might be the first time
we will need self selected volunteers for the roles."
He glanced down at the gathered members, both actual characters
and NPCs with his hazel gaze. A few NPCs appeared bewildered or
shocked by the decision.[/font]

Nine hesitated, looking around. He waited for someone to
volunteer for a rank, but he eventually lifted his own chin. "I
volunteer to be a sergeant." He said. His voice cracked
