way at a vole. "You take one, and I'll take one?"

He turned, heading towards the squirrel in a crouch, keeping as
quiet as he could.

She suddenly sprinted forward, leaping at the vole, but instead
catching her back paw on a root, releasing a groan of pain as
she hit the ground, and the vole ran off.

Turning around with the squirrel now in his mouth, he rushed
over, dropping it on the way. "Are you all right, Vani?" he
asked, concerned. Firework leaned down to offer her some help to
stand up.
