Incandescence laid in the nursery, cleaning the three kittens
laying near her.

Rabbit rushed in, his little tail waving furiously. He had heard
little mewls and felt terrible, as he was out hunting while his
loved birthed. He cautiously trotted over to her, ears low.
"Candy, are you good? Do you need a medicine cat? he asked,
hoping for her to be safe.

She put off answering him until she was sure the kittens beside
her were fine. Finally looking up, she nodded and mewed, "I'm
okay, Rabbit. I'm alright." A gentle smile rising on her muzzle,
she looked back down to the small kittens beside her. "Come look
at your children," she murmured, not wanting to bother them.

He licked her forehead before leaning over and peering at his
children. He grinned proudly. "They're beautiful, Candy. Thank
you." he murmured to her, resting his tail on her shoulder. He
didn't elaborate on what he was thankful for, as that list could
go on for ages. Loving him, trusting him, holding his kits and
giving birth to them and still loving him after the fact.

Her smile only grew as he showed his affection. After a moment,
she gently nudged the smallest kitten. "This one is Larkspur,"
Candy told him, eyes trained downwards at their children.
Larkspur was fast asleep, curled up close to his mother's front
legs.

He nodded, crouching down beside her and resting his head on
her, eyes fixed on his children. "I like that name. Its perfect
for him." Rabbit murmured. [b]"Do you think I could name one?"

curled up and sleeping by her mother's warmth. [b]"How about we
name her Lunar?"
