Her blue gaze was locked on the outside world, her body trapped
on the inside of a cave. Oh, how she longed to reach that world
again. Oh, how she wanted to feel the snow on her paws again.
Oh, how she wanted to see the snow fall from the sky once again.
But all she saw was ash. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. That was
all she saw in this barren of a wasteland. Until one day,
something fell from the sky. It was't snow. It fell to fast for
that.
It was rain.
She smiled slightly and rose to her paws, lurching forward to
let her nose just barely touch the cold liquid that fell.
Though, she couldn't help but squeak from the sudden shiver that
was sent through her body. Not from the rain. Oh, no. Not from
the rain. If anything, the warm weather would have calmed her.
Decembersnow was kitting.
She fell backwards, curling her fluffy tail around her body.
"S-s-somebody! I-I-I need HELP!" The femme squeaked as loud as
she could. All she needed was herbs. No more, no less.

Milkkit heard the small call for help and scurried forward.
There were various herbs in her mouth as she dropped them at the
entrance to the cave. The chocolate and white kitten didn't know
if any of them would help or not, but she hoped they would.

springthaw heard the call for help. since some of these kits
would be his, he didn't want them to die! all she would need was
a simple stick. pushing the herbs away, he dropped a thick
stick. she needed to feel pain so that they could know when the
kits were coming. he lay a paw on her side. 'breathe deeply.'

Harlemshake ran straight towards the medicine cat and huffed.
What did she know about kitting? She only JUST turned to be a
warrior. "Uh... erm... BREATHE?"

"OUT OF MY WAY!"
Coalstar yowled furiously while racing his heavy body towards
the nursery, the rain beginning to pour and soak his pelt.
Though he didn't care. Not at all. His mind was set on one thing
and one thing only. Decembersnow screeched for help and he
NEEDED to be there. Small puddles were created as he stomped
across the clearing, spraying water everywhere and muddying his
gray fur. Finally he rushed into camp and skidded to a stop in
front of the FrozenClan medicine cat. His eyes shifted over to
Springthaw's paw resting on his love and much jealousy and anger
burned in his eyes. There was no way this was happening. Though
before he lifted a paw to smack him away, Coalstar stopped
himself. The Clan didn't even have a medicine cat yet and the
war-like leader knew nothing about birthing, but Springthaw
seemed to know what he was doing. If he stopped him, it could
'cause Deccy to die. Instead he ignored the tom on the other
side of Decembersnow and locked his eyes with hers. "You're
going to be fine." Coally gulped back his fear and hid it
smartly to confidently say the words in front of the kitting
medicine cat.

ooc;; will there be six or seven kits?
ic;; springthaw could tell coalstar wanted to attack him, and it
was obvious he held it back. he was the only one who knew what
to do at the moment.

[font=georgia]Decembersnow, for once, let her fear into her eyes
when Springthaw touched her. It was scary to think that he could
easily kill her after her birthing of the kits. He could lie and
say that she bled to much, or that the chocolate colored cutie
gave her the wrong herbs. The medicine cat bit her lip and
flattened her ears, letting out a weak hiss as a contraction
flew through her body, which was giving up the first kit. It was
a regular sized tom with a grayish pelt. Th normal queen would
have the urge to clean and name their child, but not this one.
The onky concern she had was giving birth to all lively babies
and making sure they suckled. [size=10pt]( Juicekit )
By this point, she noticed the stick and reached for it, barely
hooking it with her claws and bringing it closer. She clamped
her teeth around it as two more little ones slid out from the
womb. One was a silver tabby while the other was pure black. The
long hair female loosened her grip from the stick, long enough
to capture the two females and bring them close to their mother.
When that was finished was when she heard Coalstar's voice as he
entered the den. Deccy pricked her ears a bit, reaching out to
him with a pout. She wanted her love to be next to her. He
needed to endur some pain, right? And watching a r.ped and
confused female give birth is enough pain to bring someone to
the point of grinding their teeth. ( Echoingkit & Heartkit )
"I hope..." she whimpered when he settled next to her, giving
him a quick lick on the cheek before feeling another
contraction. Though, it was over a few seconds after it started,
giving her a tortie child and a black and white female to take
care of. Though, the tortie child looked more like a tortie
point at the moment. Maybe she was. And the other... she didn't
know what to make of it. Almost looked exactly like her r.pist
father... ( Winterkit & Witchkit )
Finally, the last kitten slid out with no problem. Gathering the
little body near its siblings, Decembersnow sighed. She was glad
to only have six kits, but was still worried about dying under
Springthaw's claws. So worried that she burried her head into
her paws, tail holding her baby's tightly. "Does a-anybody have
b-borage leaves for m-me?" she asked with a purposeful stutter.

He removed him paw from her side as the last kitten was born.
Sliding some borage over in front of her mouth, he sat down,
looking down at the kittens.

Coalstar watched as the FrozenClanner, the precious white female
he fell in love with, painfully give birth to the squirming
kits. At first his olive orbs widened with wonder as he watched
the little bodies, but soon a dark anger flooded his thoughts
when he looked into her agony-filled eyes. It was Springthaw's
fault Decembersnow was giving birth to not only her loves
offspring, but the kits of a selfish r.pist. Oh how much he
wanted to strangle that creep. Though after shooting Springthaw
a glance full of hatred, the AshClan leader turned back towards
his mate and pulled the bunch of borage leaves to sit in front
of her mouth. He carefully pressed his large head against her
neck as if saying "I'll protect you and the kits." Coalstar,
ignoring anyone else around him, wholeheartedly swiped his rough
tongue over her sweaty forehead.[/size]

Decembersnow wrapped her forearms around her mate for comfort.
"Do you want to... Uh... Name them?" She asked after pulling
away. The second she finished the sentence, the tired femme ate
two or three leaves of borage and directed her attention to
Springthaw. [b]"And I guess he can name one."
