A small fennec fox paced around a tree, eyeing a fat beetle,
which was crawling up the trunk.
[Idk if this should be in everything else or not bc foxes are
part of the canidae family so yep idk]

Jengo, also a fennec fox, was nearby. The miniature
sandy-colored fox flicked his large ears, eagerly looking for
shade from the hot sun. He had yet to notice the fellow fennec
not far off.

The fennec, Kimichi, jumped for the beetle, leaning against the
tree, however still too small to reach it. She fell back down
with a soft whine, circling the tree.

His search for a comfy resting spot was forgotten when he heard
a quiet whimper of frustration. He stopped for a moment, his
ears turning and flicking towards the sound. Curious, he went in
that direction, and soon Jengo found himself approaching a tree
with another fennec fox walking around it anxiously.
"Hello?" he said to her as he cautiously made his way over,
hoping she was friendly.

Not yet noticing him until now, she jumped in surprise, fur on
emd, before spinning around to face him. "You scared me!" She
snapped, shifting her paws nervously.

Jengo stumbled back a couple of steps. Her surprise shocked him
as well, he hadn't expected it. "Sorry! I didn't mean to do
that," he replied quickly. "I'm don't wanna hurt you," he
assured her, just in case she still found him a threat.
