Going all out [cat joining] Going for broke

Green eyes gleaming with excitement, a small cat stopped walking
when she reached an area showing the distinct signs of a
territorial border. She had been wandering for a while now,
searching for her newest adventure. Along the way she had met a
few cats who had told her a bit about "clans". One of these
things being their unusual way of naming, so she changed her
name from being boring old 'Brownie' to Wildshot. The brown
tabby thought it suited her, but when are you really the best
judge of character about yourself. As she waited for something
to happen, her entire body seemed to be twitching with
anticipation.

Mazedpaw was out looking for herbs, when she scented the
stranger. Limping over, the pale ginger tabby examined the
newbie, before releasing a low, soft growl. "Who are you, and
why are you here?" She narrowed her gaze. The stranger didnt
look at all like a rogue, but Mazey wasn't taking any chances.

She was taken slightly aback by the blunt greeting but decided
to ignore the rough tone. Before responding she let out a
nervous laugh, then said "I'm here to join your clan? This is
RainClan right? I've been walking forever, so it would be kind
of upsetting if it wasn't." The tabby thought about what she
said and the quiet sounds of self-doubt appeared in her mind.
This had to be the place though, she hadn't encountered any
other areas like this. "Oh. I'm Wildshot by the way."

The apprentice forced her fur to lay flat, but she still had her
dounts about the newcomer. "Well, you've got the right place.
But I can't exactly let some random stranger into our camp
without permission." She flicked her ragged ear. "I'm Mazedpaw."

"Oh that's good then!" Wildshot said happily, pleased with
herself for finding her way. When the meaning of the second part
of the other cat's words sank in, the corners of her mouth
drooped a bit. Shaking it off, she mewed "So then Mazedpaw, how
does one become a non-stranger?"

"Well, first, you need to wait for our leader. She'll decide
whether you can join us or not." She replied, suppressing a
short chuckle, as she realized how easy it was to join the clan.
She remembered the day she joined as well.. It wasn't too long
ago, infact. But so much has changed..

She looked around expectantly, waiting for their leader to just
pop-up out of nowhere. However, after a few moments had passed,
Wildshot realized how absurd it was to think a cat could appear
from thin air. "So...Do you know how long it should take your
leader to get here?" Wouldn't it just be easier to go to their
leader instead? She thought. If this is how they do it though,
I'm not going to fight them on it.

She shrugged. "Usually they just come randomly from a patrol or
something. I've never really witnessed alot of cars joining
though ."

Yep, that was usually just how it went. Especially when
Fallingstar was always taking walks throughout the territory,
you couldn't really miss her even if you wanted to. The bengal
she-cat stepped in next to Mazedpaw, green eyes resting on the
new cat. "And who is this?" she asked, assuming this stranger
was a joiner. Otherwise she would question why Mazedpaw was
calmly standing there having a conversation with this intruder.
