Chris walked out of her small den, finding that she didn't have
to stay in there all day long. She could come out, any time she
wanted, and enjoy the sun for once. Oh wait. No. Ew. The sun is
bright. The she-cat hissed at the sun, finding it terribly...
terrible.

Tessa was busying herself with a mossball, like any kitten would
do. She swatted it, bit it, rolled onto her back and spun it in
the air. It was great. She soon dropped the toy and let it
tumble out of her reach. The kit sighed and looked over at her
mother snarling at..uh..nothing? What was she doing? Tessa stood
up and walked over, soon feeling the warm sun cover her like a
blanket once she left the shade. "Why are you so angry, Mommy?"

Chris looked down at her kitten, her tail lashing. "Oh, Mommy
just doesn't like the sun, Tessa." she murmured, crouching down
to be eye level with her kitten. [b]"Its too bright and hurts
your mother's eyes."

"Oh." Tessa replied, looking into her mother's eyes and
frowning. "That's not very nice." She looked up at the sun for
not even a second and quickly regretted it. "Ow," she squeaked,
blinking her eyes and shaking her head.

"See? I told you it hurts." she muttered, sitting up straight
again. "I mean, I guess the sun is good for warming someone up.
It is getting to the leafbare season, so you should soak it up
as much as you can." she told her kitten, not knowing if lil
Tessa knew about the seasons.
