Root Beer sat by the entrance of the camp, searching for her
father. She wanted to show him something she had made near the
entrance of the camp, hoping he'd be proud of it.

Zero had been just wandering the territory. When he came close
to the entrance, he noticed Root Beer sitting there. He walked
over to his daughter, smiling.

"Daddy!" she squealed, standing up. "There you are! I've been
looking everywhere for you!" she purred, her black tail lashing.

Surprised, he took a few seconds before purring, "Well. That was
very sweet of you to wait for me, and I'm right here, now. So,
why were you looking for me?"

"This way!" she nipped at her father's paw, trying to find a
grip on it to tug him a certain way. The she-cat led him behind
the nursery, which wasn't a secret at all, and pointed at the
heart she had made with summer flowers. "Tada! Izzy says that
these flowers are called.. uh... petoonas...? Something like
that! And they're really pretty so I made them into a heart for
you!" she giggled. [b]"I made one for Mommy too. Except that one
was made of... of.. marisgould..? Flower names are hard."

He followed after, chuckling at her trying to pull him along.
When he saw what she had done, his face softened much more, and
he advised her, "Petunias, and marigolds." Keeping his gaze on
it, he smiled, eventually purring, "Thank you. It's beautiful."
Others didn't often do stuff like this for him, so this was new
to him.

"Pentunia and marigold. Got it." she purred and brushed up
against her father's side. "Izzy helped me pick out the flowers
and shape them like this. She wanted to show you, too, but her
pups are still pretty beaten down from the travel back here."
she murmured, sitting down.

fact that she had done this for him. Affection was an odd
concept for him.

"Her pups are growing up pretty fast... Do you think they'll
become apprentices before I do?" she looked up at her father.

you'll be able to learn and train with them," he replied, hoping
