[ pocahontas & bedtimepaw please ]
The sun had just began to rise, shining its rays into the
apprentice den first. It marked the time where they should be
awake and getting ready for a day of training, hunting, or
battling if that was the case.

Bedtimepaw was just awake, shaking the remnants of sleep away.
She continued her morning routine by stretching, and then
smoothing her fur down. Next up was going to eat, but she wanted
to see if anyone else was awake yet for her to talk to.

Pocahontas awoke soon after her sister, purring and stretching
in the warm morning sunlight. She also took a moment to slide
her tongue across her very slightly matted pelt. It didn't take
long, her fur was rather easy to keep well groomed. She looked
over at Bedtimepaw. "Morning," she meowed, giving her training
partner a small smile.

"Morning, Poca," she replied to her sister, beaming. She was
really happy today for some unknown reason. "Want to come get
something to eat with me?"

"Sure, I'm starving," Poca purred, standing up and starting to
head out of the apprentice den, towards the fresh-kill pile. She
noticed the joyful look in her eyes, and she could understand
why. She herself was feeling peppier today, probably because of
their recent change to apprentice. Even though their mentor
turned out to be a grump, there were still plenty of things to
be happy about.

Bedtimepaw purred, "Great!" Following after Pocahontas, she
began to look at the prey she could see and eventually picked a
small mouse off of the top.
