Panthora left the nursery in a hurry. She would have to, if she
wanted to slip out of the camp before the warriors did. The
world out there was so vast, and she wasn't going to wait until
some dumb leader promoted her to apprenticeship. She hid in the
shadows, tail lashing as she waited for the right time to leave.

Incandescence had been laying by the entrance to camp. She
hadn't had her kits yet, and right now she felt like she
deserved to relax. However, when she saw Panthora trying to
sneak out of camp, she spoke up, asking, "Where do you think
you're going?"

Panthora did the thing that cats in videos do. You now the
thing. Where they jump a couple feet into the air and fall on
their backs? Yeah that thing. She squeaked in the process,
gathering herself before looking back at the she-cat. "I was...
uh... I smelled something weird out there and I didn't want
anyone in the Clan to get hurt! I was going to protect you, and
now I can't!" she scrunched up her nose.

she replied, resting her eyes on her again.

"No, wait! Shouldn't I-- er, we get the bad guys now? They
could, like, steal your kits if they get into the camp!" she
pointed to the other's belly, not exactly getting how kitting
works at all.

She just chuckled. "They can't get my kits, Panthora. They're
safe," she answered, the smile still on her maw. "Anyways, the
other warriors will get anyone," Incandescence explained,
keeping her eyes on her.
