Cross boarder conversations were normal nowadays, especially
between friends. Though, cross boarder conversations that
include a casanova? That was a different story. Steer clear,
she-cats. And be careful!

What a coincidence, Emberpaw was out on a patrol too. A border
patrol. By himself. Yeah, he was a loner, much to his dismay. It
wasn't fair that all the DevilClan she-cats were hard to get. Or
taken. Or old. Actually, there weren't that many, he didn't
think. The only cats other he hung out with were his siblings.
Not very attractive. The orange tabby was wandering about, not
paying attention to his duties very well. He started catching
RainClan scents and slowly came a stop. Wait, what? He looked
around, realizing he hadn't crossed their border but was coming
very close.

Secretpaw caught the faint scent of DevilClan from where she was
and immediately narrowed her eyes. As she followed the scent, it
grew stronger, especially as she approached the border. Looking
over at the other side of the border, she saw that he hadn't
actually crossed over.

Emberpaw sorta just stood there, not sure what to do. Then the
scent became stronger and fresher, as if it was coming towards
him- Crap. A patrol. He could see someone approaching before he
even had the chance to back away and hide. Then his orange eyes
locked on the young she-cat who spotted him. Oh, a girl. Well,
pfft, he could get out of this easily! Flirtation was his
specialty [s]not really don't listen to him[/s]. "Haha, hey
there! Uh, how ya doin'?" he asked casually. Not that she would
ignore the fact that he was barely stepping into her territory,
but a friendly greeting was worth a shot.

"Don't worry. I'm not crossing it, am I?" he told her, smirking.
"I'm just making sure those bonebrained rogues aren't coming
back. You can understand that, right?"

Emberpaw felt a small smirk of victory grow on his face, but it
quickly faded when she started to walk away. That was no fun.
She was really just going to leave him there, just like that? No
fight, no chat, no nothing?? "H-hey, wait a minute," he started,
taking a step forward. Oops, that was probably a bit too close
to the border for comfort. He took a step back.
