so i think ive mentioned before that for a second job my dad
helps clean & remodel old apartments so that they can be rented
       again right??
well then you should know that a lot of these buildings used to
belong to hoarders (one got to the point where they weren't
allowed to step into a certain room, as the floor wasn't even
there.) and because of this, when he cleans, he tends to find
cool things and brings them home.
today he sent me a picture of a really tall cat tree thing (its
almost as tall as me; im about 5'1.) it looks brand spanking new
besides a toy being missing from one of the strings (easily
fixable.) its new to the point where the scratching posts aren't
touched and the soft spots are still really soft. so my dad
cleaned it up and he put it in the kitchen while i cleaned a
space for it in my room. we brought out our cats, put the small
one in the cubby and the bigger one on top of it.
the small one, storm, didn't leave the cubby. she sniffed
around, breathed in the scents of the cats who used to own this
thing, and relaxed in it. while my cat, the bigger one named
rayn, sniffed about, jumped to a lower shelf, and started
scratching at it, basically claiming it as his. it was moved to
my room and storm stayed in the cubby during the move.
now its been at least twenty minutes and neither of them have
left it alone. they're both scratching at it, playing with the
remaining toy & and remnants of the missing toy, and just plain
       resting on it/near it.
its just really cute i thought i would share that with y'all
