london calls me a stranger [ LEADER NEEDED ]

sibuna sat by the edge of the territory, obeying the normal laws
that clans had set long ago. she really didn't care for a fight
right now, as she was trying to find some good evidence on
petrichor. her son saying how he is extremely suspicious isn't
enough. at least, in her eyes. the ginger she-cat flicked her
tail as she waited.

Fallingstar was on one of her normal daily walks, talking her
time in checking the borders and admiring the beautiful view the
rainforest gave her. Her bengal spots slightly blended in with
the dense brush around her as she walked down the hidden path.
Anyone else who found themselves here would probably get lost
right away, this was a sort of jungle, after all. But the
RainClan made sure she knew her territory like the back of her
paw, and made it a duty of hers to check the borders at least
once a day. The warriors made things run rather smoothly, with
the hunting, patrols, and protecting the camp, so the leader had
more free time than you'd think.
Fallingstar sniffed the air once more, catching a new but clear
scent. FireClan. She also found a hint of DevilClan and some
other Clans in there somewhere. She put her guard up, narrowing
her light green eyes and approaching the leader waiting at the
border. "Sibuna, what are you doing here?" she asked calmly.

"Don't worry, Fallingstar. I'm the only one here. I left
everyone else back at the camp." she rolled her shoulders back.
"You know, housing all these Clans in my camp better give me a
great reward because hell. These damn cats are flushing all of
the prey out of my portion of the territories." she huffed, tail
lashing. "That reminds me. Do you have any idea on who could be
the dou.chebag to chase out all these Clans? Because others are
starting to get suspicious, Fallingstar." she stood up slowly,
fur laying flat.

( ahh i'm sorry i keep forgetting/putting this off rae. i'm just
trying to figure out what falling thinks or knows about the
raids and stuff at the time ugh )
Fallingstar studied her and her words, soon nodding. After
everything that was happening, she figured she could trust that
the FireClan leader was being truthful. Besides, if there were
more of them, she or someone else definitely would have noticed
it by now.
She listened to her inquiry, tail flicking calmly. Inside,
however, she was a little panicked. Why did the leader suspect
her to know? Maybe because they survived an attack from them?
Actually, that would make sense. She tried to think. She did
want to help, truly. After all, it had begun to affect her own
clan as well. "I..I understand. But I'm not entirely sure
either. When we were attacked by the rogues, there was a she-cat
who seemed to be leading them, but she was killed soon after. If
anyone has seen anymore of these rogues or attacks after our
battle, I would doubt she was really the one in charge."

( its fine sweetie :33 )
Sibuna kept her face a neutral, keeping her eyes slightly
narrowed. "What I take away from that is that you have no idea
on who it could be." she muttered, the tip of her tail giving an
agitated flick. "How about I give you another hint? MoonTribe.
They weren't taken over either. In fact, I'm pretty sure they
weren't even attacked." she swallowed, giving herself a second
to think over her words. [b]"Now Fallingstar, if you can, try to
make connections between RainClan and MoonTribe. The Clanmates,
the territory, anything. Just think of something similar in both
Clans - rather, someone similar."

Fallingstar narrowed her eyes suspiciously. Okay, so obviously
Sibuna knew something Falling didn't and she was just messing
with her instead of telling the truth right away. Unless she was
just trying to be careful, but the RainClan leader didn't see
her as that kind of person. Even so, Fallingstar listened
closely and racked her brain for whatever she was so blindly
missing. Territories? The climates were both hot, but that was
it. Clanmates? What did she mean by that? Wait...someone
similar? Petrichor was in RainClan..and the MoonTribe. Petrichor
is the connection..?
"No," the word slipped out of her open maw. Her eyes slowly
began to widen more and more, and it felt like her whole world
was crashing down on top of her. Her heart beating, she went
over everything she knew about him. His long trips away from the
Clan, his secretive nature, his friendship with the female who
raided RainClan, his plan to bring the Clans together. No matter
how much she wanted to deny it, to push it away, it all made
sense.
Tears formed around her sea green eyes, and she bit her lip as
she was desperately trying to hold those emotions and feelings
back. She did not want to cry, especially not in front of the
FireClan leader. "Pet..Petrichor? You think he's...?" she said
without finishing, her voice quivering.

[ I KID U NOT AS I READ THAT I STARTED TEARING UP
LIKE NO FALLING NO U DID NOTHING WRONG FALLING BB PLEASE DONT

[ also im gonna sit here for 30 min rewriting everything in this
post multiple times bc i want it to be perfect ]
Sibuna waited out Fallingstar's realization. She sat back down
and curled her tail around her paws, keeping a neutral face.
Normally, she would poke and taunt her enemy for being so weak,
so easy to trick. For all the RainClan leader knew, this could
all be a coincidence. But the idea was planted in everyone's
head, including hers. There was no going back from this.
She waited a moment after Fallingstar uttered her words,
thinking up some of her own. "All the signs point to him,
Fallingstar." she murmured, voice monotone. She brought her eyes
up to keep contact with her fellow leader's. "I'm... I'm sorry.
But whoever is doing all of this, is out there. Terrorizing cats
and forcing them to move out of their homes. Whoever that cat
is, let it be Petrichor or not, we need to find out. And if we
have a lead, Fallingstar, we're going to take it." she meowed,
swallowing and avoiding eyes once again.
"I just wanted you to know, and I want you to be on our side. I
don't want you to be at the mercy of all of the other Clans if
they find out that you harbored the tom who made them leave."
she took a sharp breath. "Fallingstar, I may not care for you,
or Phoenixfeather, or any offspring you all might have. But I do
care for the balance of the Clans. If RainClan was to fall to
the mercy of all of the others, balance would be lost. I don't
even want to think of a world like that."
"So, Fallingstar, please, I know this might be terrible to put
on you in a matter of minutes, and I know that Petrichor meant a
lot to RainClan, but consider it." she looked at the ground,
contemplating a little. [b]"The Clans in my camp have already
decided that we're going to attack the rogue's camp in a few
days. If we find Petrichor there, and neither MoonTribe or
RainClan is helping us in the attack, then both of you might be
the next target. I'm sorry."
