no one its you { CHRIS' KITTING } miss jackson

Chris pushed out the last kit, eyes squeezed shut. Six kits...
that was a normal litter. But, it was odd for her. Usually when
queen's mothered a litter with more than one father, it had more
than the usual amount of kits. Then again, she shouldn't
complain. Six kits instead of, say, ten or eleven seemed a lot
       easier to care for.

A male kit squealed, a rush of cold air hitting him.

A dark brown kitten was curled up in a ball, much colder than he
had been not long before. A quiet squeak came from the tiny
       thing.

A newborn she-kit squirmed around in the messy moss, soon
clinging to her mother's stomach. Soft mews escaped her open
jaws until she latched on. On her thin body, tiny brown tabby
hairs stood up as they dried from the fresh air slowly pushing
       into the den.
Keegan was standing outside of the den, wondering if he should
go in or not. The groaning and yowling had stopped, so that
probably meant it was over, right? Still, did she even want to
see him? When she told him about her pregnancy, something
special happened between them, but still. Well, wasn't respect
what she wanted? Then he'd give it to her. He cleared his
throat. "Uh, can I come in?" he asked awkwardly.

Soon, the small kitten was able to get close to her stomach and
latched on, tiny paws resting against her.

The small tomkit followed his siblings in suit, latching on
       rather quickly.
Chris pricked her ears at the sound of Keegan's voice. She
frowned and swooped her tail around her kits, resting it on
them. "Sure, I guess." she called to him, her voice a bit raspy.
"I can't really stop you from meeting the newer members of your
Clan." the new mother muttered, not mentioning the fact that he
       fathered some of them.
( check the adoption thread, jstar. it says it right there. )

A scrawny chocolate point let out a loud squeak, flexing out his
       tiny claws against her tail.

Keegan took a deep breath before entering the den. As he walked
into the nursery, his eyes first landed on the tiny squealing
kittens. So small and helpless. It was surprising that something
so tiny could become something so..dangerous. At least, that's
what we all know Keegan was thinking. His eyes finally trailed
up to Chris, as if he'd been avoiding it. Actually, yeah, he
was, a little. He was kinda speechless, too. What were you
supposed to say to a girl that just gave birth? 'They're
beautiful'? 'You look great'?? He had no idea.
"That's true," he murmured, sitting down.

       "I just hope I don't end up mothering some r.pist. I don't want
to be a grandmother and not know it." she let out a small
chuckle, removing her tail from the kits to allow him a better
look. She poked the tom closest to her, causing him to let out a
little mewl. "You hear that, little man?" she purred quietly to
the soon-to-be-named Ezio. Chris stared at the kits for a bit,
allowing it to sink in that she was a mother before she turned
back to her leader, eyes narrowed once again, a majority of the
warmth lost. "I suppose you want to name one." she assumed. The
new mother hoped she wouldn't have to explain her reasoning, as
that would be difficult and embarrassing.
