What could he do?
The battle raged around him; the sound of fighting and sight of
blood flooded the tuxedo tom's senses, and another question
replaced the first. What would he do? Pigeonpaw was completely
overwhelmed. This was his first battle, and he had no idea what
to do. Join the mosh pit? Guard the camp? Run away? The
apprentice decided that sitting and watching would be a good
idea.

protect me! He ran towards the apprentice, huddling under his
belly.

him. Well, at least now he had a responsibility. "Come on,
Ultrakit, let's get you out of here," he purred softly, picking
up the kit by his scruff.
