I WILL FLY ( private, raven ) CHASE THE WIND AND TOUCH THE SKY

Flyingrose breathed in the fresh, yet dusty morning air as she
padded up the ramp into AshClan camp. She scanned her eyes over
the den openings and busying warriors as the day went by, and
she wondered what to do next. Perhaps she should find someone to
talk to, and get herself interacting with the other Clan
members.

Winterpaw was bringing a ball of moss back to the camp, dropping
it near the medicine den. She spotted Flyingrose and made the
daring decision to start a conversation with the elder she-cat.
"H-hello." She said, walking towards the expert.

Flyingrose glanced down at the young leader-to-be, resting her
friendly, soft green gaze on her. "Ah, hello, Winterpaw. How are
you?" she meowed with a simple smile, like she did with all her
respected Clanmates. It almost felt like a routine. But she did
it despite the negative thoughts and feelings going on in her
mind.

Winterpaw attempted a smile, her tail flicking slightly.
Flyingrose seemed nice. Hopefully she would stay like that. "I'm
doing.... uh, fine." She cursed her slight stutter as she
searched for proper words. She might've been of higher rank, but
she was of smaller size and less experience. The young leader
figured that if she acted out of line, then the Expert might
throw off her facade and lash at her. "How a-are you?"

The expert could easily sense the anxiety echoing off the young
female, but she continued to smile kindly and hold back a
reaction to her stuttering. The fact that the shy she-cat was
stepping out showed a sign of strength, since she was normally
so reserved and nervous. "I'm..I'm well," Flyingrose answered
thoughtfully. She was a little sad, but it wasn't the end of the
world, I guess. "You seem to be handling this new position quite
nicely. It's a lot to take in, isn't it?" she purred, to keep
conversation to keep it going.

Winterpaw took note of the slight stutter the expert had. Okay.
She wasn't fine. But Winnie wasn't the type to pry at feelings
of those she barely knew. When Flyingrose continued, the young
mother gave a slight nod. "Mhm. Its definitely... a change.."
she chuckled slightly. "Going from a single mother that meant
nothing to the Clan to a leader who the Clan depends on... its
a... a really... really big change..." she squeaked, ears
lowered. But she tried to keep the conversation going. There was
no way in hell that she would let this moment go to waste.
"What was it like when you were promoted to expert...?" She
asked.
