Winterpaw hesitated with her decision, but she slowly walked to
the FrozenClan border. She wanted to see the leader and ask for
a truce for a while as she attempted to rebuild her Clan. She
didn't know that her uncle had left FrozenClan, and was
expecting him.

Frick, I thought I replied to this already..
How could he do this to them? Just leave FrozenClan like that?
They were weak enough as they were, and then Icestar decided
that they weren't worth his time and effort anymore. She didn't
know about the rest of her Clan, but the ex-leader's lack of
faith in them had really hurt Auroralights. The silver bengal
kicked a lump of snow in her rage, sending a shower of icy
flakes over her. She lied down on the cold, wet ground and
stared up at the sky. It was dull, gray, and cloudy. Just like
our future.
Wait, what was that? AshClan? Are you kidding me, StarClan? We
already lost our leader, we don't need this! Auroralights pushed
herself up with a growl and traced the scent to the border.
"Just what do you think you're doing here?" the snow bengal
asked, taking a threatening stance.

"I-I mean no harm!" She squeaked immidiately, taking steps away
from the border and fluffing her fur out. Winterpaw watched the
FrozenClanner, eyes wide as she searched for words. "I-I don't
mean to threaten you whatsoever. I just wish to speak to your
leader... please.." she added. "I'll stay here if needed."

"You're AshClan. You can't just expect me to trust you." But
Auroralights managed to calm herself down into a sitting
position. The pretty she-cat felt her stomach drop when she
heard the apprentice's request. "He's speaking with StarClan in
the Flower Meadow," she quickly lied. "What do you need him
for?"

The small she-cat shuffled her paws. "I wish to ask for a truce,
between AshClan and FrozenClan... I know we've been enemies
since forever and we most likely won't work together for
anything... but..." she found her face heating up under
pressure, her ears flattening on her head. "And.. I just want
peace while I rebuild my Clan... that's really all I ask for,
honestly." She shakily pressed her paw to her heart.
"Pr-promise."

Her first instinct was to just yell at her for being so stupid.
The two clans had been enemies since they began, and now they
wanted a truce? But StarClan knew how much FrozenClan needed
peace right now. "I accept," she mewed, and let her glare
soften. [b]"May I ask what happened to AshClan?"

She smiled slightly, ears rising as she placed her paw on the
ground again. "Well, n-nothing really happened. Our leader
just.... stepped down. He appointed a new leader and deputy
before paw..." she looked away, still a bit nervous. "And, if
you hadn't guessed, I'm the new leader... uh... I know I'm not
much, which is one of the reasons why I ask for this truce, so I
may become what is expected of me..." she paused, bringing her
gaze back up. "May I ask why you're the one accepting...? I
mean, I've seen you sit with the medics at gatherings.." she
gulped.

"Oh. Well, congratulations." She couldn't be too kind; after
all, this cat was still from AshClan. She sighed and looked
down, tail twitching uncomfortably. "Well, Icestar sort of
just.. Disappeared. We haven't seen him in weeks. And our deputy
hasn't shown his face in quite some time either. So as head
medicine cat, I guess I'm the highest authority in the clan
right now." Why did you say that? Just revealing your weaknesses
to your worst enemy? Auroralights felt a sensation of guilt and
worry in her stomach; what if AshClan attacked them while they
had no leader?

"Thank you." She dipped her head. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry about
that. I hope he's okay..." the young leader shivered slightly,
the cold air and her anxiety getting to her. "I guess that its
great that we agreed on a truce, then." She murmured, bringing
herself to stand up, her tail resting low and her ears still
laying flat against her head.

"Yeah, it's good to know I can rest easy without worrying about
getting attacked." She cracked a small smile, but it quickly
faded. She still couldn't let her guard down. [b]"It was nice
talking to you, uh, what's your name?"
