She shifted slightly, clasping her hands on her lap and
adverting her eyes. "I'm... pregnant..." she said, biting her
lip as blood rose to her cheeks, making them extremely red.

"Pregnant?" he echoed, still comprehending. After a few seconds,
he put down his fork, and reached across the table, taking her
hand. Might as well make the most of this. "That's great, Phi!"
he said, hiding his worry for later on in his happiness.

Pheo glanced up at her boyfriend, then down at the hand he
grabbed with a sigh. "Is it really?" She asked quietly.

Pheo pulled her hand away from his, hugging herself instead.
"I'm scared, Faust. We're not old enough to have a child and
raise it right... and you just got your first real case! How are
we going to support him financially?" She squeaked out her
fears, shivering slightly. All she wanted was to be held like a
child again, to be told everything was going to be fine.

He got up, walked over, and wrapped his arms around her. "Pheo,
listen to me. If I need to, I'll find another job to help out.
Our child is going to grow up and be the best little boy or girl
around, because they have you as their perfect mother. It'll be
alright, Phi, I promise."

She wrapped her arms around him as well, resting her head on his
chest. Soft tears began to roll down her cheeks, mainly showing
her fear. "How can I be a perfect mother, when I don't even know
what one seems like?" She asked, pulling away to look into his
eyes.
