WHY ARE YOU MY REMEDY? [private, stormy]

The MoonTribe medicine cat paced at the SerpentClan border, her
heart pounding as she waited for Firework to find her,
hopefully. Why was visiting her crush so nerve-wracking? Well,
Berryflight was from a whole other Clan, and she didn't want to
get caught by an angry patrol when she was only here to visit
the current leader on, erm, peaceful terms. She actually didn't
know he was SerpentClan leader yet. This was going to be
exciting.

Firework had been thinking of visiting either Berryflight or
Angelic. He'd decided to visit his crush first, so he began to
make his way to the border. Luckily, he saw her there, and he
smiled brightly for the first time since they'd discovered
Flickeringstar, dead. "Berry!" he purred, trying to make his
voice light.

Berry turned around and her face immediately brightened with a
joyful smile. "Fire~! There you are!" she purred, forgetting
about her worries of a patrol and rushing over in hopes to touch
her little pinkish gray nose to his. "I've missed you," she
meowed softly, her blue optics looking into his for a moment.

He accepted the gesture, turning it into a nuzzle instead. "I
missed you too," the head replied gently, a smile still upon his
muzzle. "How have you been?" Firework asked, letting his bright
blue eyes travel to hers and gaze into them. The eyes are the
windows to the soul.

A contented purr rumbled in her throat as he brushed his muzzle
over hers. After, Berryflight smiled and nodded happily in
response to his question. "Wonderful! I even got a new
apprentice," she purred. "What about you? Anything new?"

He frowned but quickly brought his smile back. "Well, I'm the
leader of SerpentClan now!" he meowed, not adding the second
part; that Flickeringstar was dead.

Berryflight gasped and stared at him for a few moments, as if in
disbelief, but soon after grinned happily at the news. "Oh my
god, really? That's..that's amazing! When were you promoted??"
she blurted excitedly. Normally Berry was quiet and shy, but
when she felt comfortable enough, she was her bright-eyed,
cheerful self. She was also so proud and happy for him!

"Not too long, honestly. Maybe a week, or so?" he replied,
thinking. "Yeah, about a week." Fire smiled, sitting down. "So,
anyways, besides the big stuff, how have you really been?"
