Ashlee looked up at Pheo sitting down next to her. She stared
for a few moments, hesitant to accept the comfort, but
eventually scooted closer and nuzzled her tear-soaked face into
her side.

"Shh, its okay. Your brother will be just fine." Pheo tried to
calm the child. "Your mother and Stygianflare know exactly what
to do in situations like this." She continued, smiling softly.
"How about I tell you when Clapkit wakes up? You can see one of
the first to see his bright shining eyes again." She promised
Ashlee, hoping it would help a bit.
Guardiankit didn't respond - well, with words. He didn't want to
- his throat hurt and he didn't trust his voice. Plus, he
promised himself that he wouldn't speak until Clapkit woke up.
The black tom looked up at Beautifulkit, dark green eyes a bit
puffy from crying. He shook his head, saying no, and went back
to cleaning Clapkit, waiting for her to respond.
