Morningdawn walked out of her den, sitting down by it. She was
keeping watch on how many cats would start hinting on becoming
the open ranks.

"Hi Dancingdead." The medicine cat greeted her former
apprentice. It felt normal again to have a medicine cat by her
side and an apprentice for herself. She missed Hummingbird
dearly, and it was obvious.

She smiled, thinking of her other former mentor, who was gone.
"Hey, Morningdawn," she mewed, glad she could finally greet her
as not just a mentor, but as a fellow medic.

Elodie slowly walked over to the two medicine cats, her long
spotted tail swaying. "Um, hi," she said awkwardly. It was
weird, working with others who were close and you felt like the
odd one out. Especially because she was, well, a cheetah. But
she'd eventually get to know them better, being she was the new
mca, so why not try some conversation?
