faint, soon-to-disappear smile and quickened his trot to gather
with narnia and the others, giving each a small nod with the
normal relaxed and respectful look in his pinkish red orbs. he
silently stopped and sat down in the scrambled circle as he
attentively listened to the conversation.
ah, reading. something he enjoyed very much, especially because
they lived in a large library with a seemingly endless amount of
books on every floor. he was taught to read when he was a young
kitten by an experienced friend, so he rarely had problems
deciphering the human language. the fact that panda was teaching
herself without any knowledge of twoleg writing was quite a
talent, he noticed. she would probably be reading in no time
with that skill.
albanus flipped his gaze over to euphoria, a small spark of
excitement glittering in his eyes. what an honor that would be!
he wasn't certain that he would be one of the chosen, being an
apprentice. the only innovator apprentice, to be exact. well, a
cat can dream, right? he was more mature than most common
adolescents, however.[/font][/center]

Narnia dipped her head to the incoming cat then looked over at
the leader. "Tryouts? Not that im saying not to do tryouts, but
why not just watch and see how everyone acts?"
(I have a question about the 'human language':
So, as we roleplay the cats speaking, we rp them speaking the
human language, though if this was real they wouldn't be
speaking human language, they would be meowing. If we were to rp
the cats speaking/translating human language from the book, it
would be like: 'The cat read the word outloud, finally
understanding. "Silver spoons. Well. Thats not too confusing"'
which would kinda dullen the rp. So could the human words be in
a different language like Norwegian or something? If you know
what I mean)

Panda dipped her head to the other arriving cats before smiling
a bit more. "That's sounds like a lot of fun, to be honest." she
chuckled quietly. She lifted a dark paw to rub at her eye,
trying to rub away the small amount of sleep that still clung.
"Do you know who these lucky cats are?" she asked curiously,
flicking an ear. Sure, she wanted to go and meet Clans. But the
more she thought about it, the more she wondered if it would be
worth it.
Pros of going included possibly seeing other cultures and cats.
It could mean making new friends, and possibly finding new
members for their small Clan. It was an adventure waiting to
happen. But if she didn't go, she could practice her skills in
hunting and fighting, stretch her bones, and practice her
reading skills a bit more. She sighed at the thought. Again, she
wasn't the best at memorizing the letters or symbols, or the
words they formed. And the books she attempted to read were in
small print or were smudged. Ugh.
And now HP tryouts were the topic. Panda flicked her ear at the
thought. Did she want to be a high position? It sounded fun, but
everything sounded fun. Being a high position required hard work
and determination. Panda was one for two, having the
determination to at least try to read everytime she found a book
on another animal or plant. "Cool..." the black and white
she-cat commented on the topic, to deep in thought about
everything to think up a better answer.
{ up to the admins? owo wwweeeelllllll i think its fine to read
in all languages, honestly. i understand that it may be a bit
boring, but considering that the kitties speak to each other and
mostly understand what i want to call 'kitty english', it may be
difficult for them to read another language unless they know it.
if i'm to confusing, then let me just sum it up - i think its
fine for them to read in any language, as long as they already
know that language. ^w^ /OPINION ]

Utopia acknowledged each of them with a nod. She was halfway
through learning to read, and was being taught by a friend that
wasn't in the Clan. The thing was, though, she was not learning
'English.' She was learning how to speak 'Latin.' It was weird,
the names Twolegs gave to things. She already knew how to read
English but was still working on the other, so she pulled out a
book, trying to practice.
