He shooed Vani away. He knew how his step-siblings felt about
him now - He wouldn't let her pretend she loved him. "If only I
was a better father, if only ..." He rasped.

He pressed against his father, trying to let him know that he

Balloonpaw had been hiding in the shadows, lying under the shade
of a bush while she listened to every word spilling out of the
recording. Her eyes were extremely watery, tears about ready to
rush down her cheeks in several streams. Jealous? She was
jealous of...her? The young calico stuffed her face between her
paws to cry. She couldn't help but feel like this was her fault,
but she knew it wasn't entirely. Everyone else was apart of it
too. And Angelic, she probably deserved better than this...this
family who just couldn't get over drama. Balloonpaw always tried
to avoid it, and she, along with the rest of the family, was
always pulled in.
If a peaceful life was what she wanted, so be it. Balloonpaw,
though she was really going to miss the smart and cheerful
little sister she felt closest to, wanted Angelic to live the
life she deserved.
"Daddy..." she murmured softly, voice quivering and threatening
to let out another sob. She almost felt more upset about the
depressed look on her father's face than Angelic leaving. He
tried to be a good father, but apparently, nobody thought he was
good enough. Balloonpaw thought he was. If anything, it was
Innocence who really messed up, not Flickeringstar, but she had
forgiven both of them. She never wished for any other parents
than them. Balloonpaw stood to her paws and wobbled over to
Flickeringstar in hopes to help comfort him, though, she stopped
a couple feet away from him. She was a little too shy to barge
in...she was afraid he didn't want her comfort.

though idk if its gonna work i'ma spill it out anyways
so what if slingshot proposed, and angelic accepted instead of
turning him down. but instead of following through with the
wedding, she runs off, which is when this is found. she finds
goes to devilclan, only to find freezing's group there instead
of the original devilclan cats. she then follows the scent and
finds them in whatever subclan they're in, and decides to help
them there.

thanks xD and I'd rather not sleep more because last night my
mom made my most favorite thing ever and she woke me up for it,
only for me to fall asleep with the plate in my arms ;w;
anyways, if this follows through, i'll have to change
slingshot's entry, and angelic will end up missing the festival.
slingshot will also have to propose sooner than thought, seeing
as devilclan is supposed to be driven out soon.
