Firework had discovered the recording. He slowly pressed play,
listening through it. When it got to the part about him, he
almost began crying. He hadn't meant to drift away from her; it
wasn't his fault he had met Berryflight. He had also lied the
first time she asked if he liked anyone liked that, saying no,
he didn't, but he had already met Berry at that time. Most
people didn't believe in love at first sight, but that was what
it was, even if she didn't feel the same. Fire felt guilty for
doing that to her; she was his Angel, the one he could tell
everything, the one he could always rely on, the one he could
come to if he was upset or needed comforting. Even though he
knew she wasn't truly his sister due to her former body, she
felt like one, and he loved her more than he would his true
siblings. Now she was gone, and he would barely see her anymore.
When the recording finally ended, he went back to the tree and
placed the recorder down, then reached up and pressed his paw
under the heart she had carved. He closed his eyes, finally
letting himself cry. She was gone, and there was nothing he
could do about it.

Flickeringstar just stared. And stared. He had never been there
for her. It was his fault, she left wasn't it? He wasn't a good
father. He was horrible. "I'm sorry ..." He whispered.
