kk, how about... a boomslang? it's a type of snake; if you look
it up, you'll see it's pretty cool

Party followed happily.
A lanky snake with beady black eyes was skittering through the
grass, the scent of new animals flooding his senses.

Letting out a low hiss, the boomslang quickly slid out into the
path they walked on, staring up at the cats, his long body
slowly raised upward, trying to get the cats to run off in fear
of him.

Discoball's head turn3ed as he heard a hissing, and he backed
away as he saw the snake come out. He'd seen these before, and
they didn't sound very nice.
