A lot of time had passed, but finally, six kittens laid beside
the black she-cat, she licked the head of one, one of the bigger
ones who was a lookalike of herself.

Frozenkit mewed hungrily, waving his stubby tail and practically
screaming out to let the world know he was awesome.
Mazey sat by the medicine cat apprentice, and pushed forward
some borage. But her smile changed as she remembered she was
going to be in this den one day, kits squirming at her side.

A small tom, soon to be named Guardiankit, curling up next to
him mother and siblings, trying to capture most of the warmth.
Although his fur was still slick, his extra-long whiskers stuck
out of his face like a sore thumb.
Pheo beamed, attempting to lick the new mother's head. She was
happy because she was the self-claimed aunty of this kittens.

She began to comfort the kitten, bringing her closer to her.
Then she glanced at the other one and began to clean her gently,
warming him up. Finally, she pulled the borage closer and then
ate the leaf. That was when she felt her friend lick her head
and speak and smiled up at her. "Thanks, Pheo," she purred,
snuggling the kittens closer. Stygianpaw was still thinking of
names, though.
[i accidentally wrote leader at first instead of leaf :/]

"They are beautiful." Mazey purred. "And they take after their
mother." She smiled warmly, trying to push out the fact that her
kittens were coming soon too.

She smiled softly at Mazey's comment and then finally decided to
name them. Stygianpaw thought about it for a while before
deciding, "That one should be Guardiankit."

than the rest of his litter. He squealed along with his
siblings.
