Keegan pushed out a sigh, glancing around the camp before
looking back at Chris. "Alright, get in here," he ordered,
stepping back after gesturing inside his den with his ear. He
wasn't quite sure what he was going to tell her yet, but he sure
as hell wasn't going talk about at his doorway where everyone
could see.

Chris, for once, obeyed the tom and walked into the den. She
gazed around for a moment before looking back to him.

Oh boy, were they in a pickle here. What could he say? What
could she say? And the fact that she really cared what others
thought of her...sigh. You think you know a guy. Er, girl. "No
boyfriends or anything?" he grumbled reluctantly. Now if she did
have a boyfriend, then, then he would be mad at her. Just
because she didn't tell him about it, and yeah, he wanted her to
himself.

That. That was the smart*ss he had been waiting to hear. And
nobody cared about her? What does she know? She's expecting
others to treat her like a princess when she is snappy whether
they like her or not. He knew he sort of liked her, but...he
couldn't tell her that. She obviously wouldn't care, right?
Yeah, Keegan, stop thinking of stupid ideas. "It's kind of hard
to forget that you're "the most despised cat" when you keep
reminding everyone," Keegan growled, sleepily rubbing his paw
across his ears.

Chris rolled her eyes. "Its a habit at this point." she
muttered. "And its kind of hard to get rid of my 'snappiness'
when I'm looked down upon for everything I do. Though, you
wouldn't understand. You're always on your high-horse looking
down at everyone else." she glared at him for a moment before
looking away and muttering under her breath. "Besides Alex.."
the she-cat said under her breath, not caring if he heard or
not. It wasn't a secret that the leader had something for the
she-cat. Everyone had to know at this point.

Yeah, because I never understand anything. His eyes rolled
mentally, and Keegan glared at her until he heard her soft
mutter. "Alex? Hey, she's respectful and she gets the job done.
Naturally, everyone should like her. Maybe if you've learned how
respect goes a long way when you joined, you wouldn't be in such
a 'hellhole'," Then a small smirk appeared across his maw.
"What? Are you jealous?" he teased like he always would,
beginning to lie down. He didn't think anything of it, though,
that she might actually be envious.

"Okay, yeah. If I learned respect when I came here, maybe I
wouldn't be in this position. But what difference would that
make? I would still be the snippy little b.tch everyone here has
come to hate. Just one who cowards down when hurtful things are
constantly thrown at her instead of verbally fighting back."
Chris glared at him. "And yes, actually. I am jealous of her.
She has the rank. She has friends. She has those who love and
care for her. Heck, Alex could attack a Clan entirely out of our
league, and everyone would follow her because she's always
right." she paused for a minute, shaking her head gently.
[b]"The only similar thing between me in her is our choice of
guys. Everything else she is better in or has more of. Well,
except hate. I take the cake for that."

Keegan stared at her for a few seconds, wondering how to react.
Why was she telling him all this? Keegan, of all people. He
wanted to tell her...but how? He didn't know any mushy love
speeches all girls liked, but I guess Chris wasn't like all
girls. Not only that, he still liked Alex. But she was his
slave...nobody had to know. Wait, know what? Nothing even
happened. Nevermind. Here goes. "Look, Alex might be the perfect
girl, but she's not you. I know someone out there still cares
for you, no matter how many times you say how much everyone
hates you. I mean, here I am giving stupid advice when I could
be out doing helpful chief stuff. If I hated you, this would be
a waste of my time. And you're not a waste of my time, Chris."
Holy crap, did I just say that out loud?
